No pics yet as I got stuck doing other jobs today and by the time I had washed it it was dark.
Now that I have had a good look in daylight the interior is a bit worse than I had thought but nothing a clean, curtains and new window tints wont fix.
Dawned on me today as well that I have no idea what half the switches do, what grade oil should I use and how the hell do I get into the engine?
Still, it drives great and looks good so happy days.
Dave.

I didnt realise there was snobbery, I bought it cos I liked it and have a use for it, not cos its a specific model allthough it is quite cool to have a van the same (nearly) as the A team. ;D I was talking about VW Type 2 vans..... not yanks. I thought about this this morning and realised I had read it wrong. Serves me right for replying when tired. pantera2075 , I was under it and couldnt see a spot of rust. Its only done 750 miles in the pas 4 years so seems to have avouded a lot of salt damage.

MDH. LPG is an option but it has to be ready to go out on a hire if needed and as soon as you get north of Loch Lomond LPG sites are pretty rare. I am going to have a look at the layout and see if I can fit a kitchen unit in the back doors with an LPG tank underneath.
LAWSY. I'm still firmly in the VW scene but like to think I can still enjoy other scenes and makes and a chevy van has always been on my list of wants along with a Rover P5B, Jenson interceptor, Gordon Keeble, Chevy pick-up and others.

Type 2's are ok but don't understand the snobbery that appears to go with 'em..... when you could just buy one of these. ![](http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh79/GTLCrete/Ram-Page/1976DodgeTradesman.jpg) Got to be the ultimate '70's van! Nuff said! I didnt realise there was snobbery, I bought it cos I liked it and have a use for it, not cos its a specific model allthough it is quite cool to have a van the same (nearly) as the A team. ;D

Is the green over yellow sherpa in France? Glasgow city council used to have a fleet of Sherpas in the same colour scheme.

If you are coming over by car best bet is to head for Cambridge street or concert hall multi storey car parks. I'm pretty sure the area around Blythswood square will be closed off meaning sauchiehall street will be jumping.

Heads up for anybody in Glasgow tomorrow night.
The Monte Carlo rally will be leaving from Blythswood square from about 18:30 onwards followed by a heritage run heading for Luss.
I am hoping to get plenty of pictures to share with you all so if you cant make it watch this space.
Dave.

I just remembered this video on you tube;
I would be worried about flooding and the car in the underground section turning into the time capsule car.
