Noticed my windscreen wiper arms are looking a little tired, especially with rust coming through at the 'hook' ends. What's the best paint to treat them with? Debating whether to go with the body colour, rather than the standard matt black, but thinking it might be a bit naff? Also, primer. I need to get some to treat the bumper scuffs, would it do for the wipers too?

What would happen for a rare or unusual car that has no owner's club?

I should know what this is, I think some appeared in the Bottom Feeders thread, but for the life of me I can't remember.

I often used to wash my cars just after it had rained, because I used Mer polish which has to be applied to wet bodywork.

Was on the way home from work this morning, and stopped off to put a bit of petrol in the Granada. While I'm filling up, the next car in is another J-reg, a silver Mk2 Jetta, driven by an old fella. I go and pay, and when I come out, a third car has pulled in, this one is a red G-reg K10 Micra! So, we had a mini retro meet, completely by accident Unfortunately, and unbeknown to me, my phone was out of battery and I only discovered this when I tried to take a picture. Still, cheered me up this morning!

Do you know which area of East London? It's my neck of the woods, so I'll keep an eye out.

Oh, it's a Jide! Top Gear put it as a poser on their Twitter feed, and then didn't say what it is! Ha! I knew about them but had never seen one in real life before. Cool little cars! I had no idea what it was and guessed at a modified Unipower. Some of the guesses were hilarious.

Jaguar Mk X on a VW LT beavertail, parked on the south side of the A12 between the Moby Dick and Barley Lane. The car looked substantially good but a lot of surface rust, maybe a barn find?

What with Santa Pod being on this weekend, is anyone else thinking of heading to Fat Boy's?

Really? It looks pretty good from a distance, but there's a few scrapes and scratches (especially on the bumpers). I thought they'd only want super-smart cars?

While searching for something completely different, I came across mention of this event, which just happens to be on my birthday (10th August). Has anyone been to the previous shows, is it a decent event?

How about a Citroen AX? Available up until 1998, the 1.0 almost sips petrol, they're light so can be made to fly, and not seen too often.
