I have only seen 2 gen 1's for sale over the last year (we have a gen 1 so keep a close eye on the others) a red one went at auction last summer and a blue 4 door hondamatic with vinyl roof has passed few a few hands, the silver one on ebay (12K) has been there for 4 years. Prior to that I had seen 2 really scruffy projects, one that is currently being broken on ebay, the other was in scotland.
The "honda old timers" and "first generation honda civic (1973-1979)" groups on facebook are probably the best places to look for Honda's of this age, honda old timers is primarily for UK users but we get worldwide posts quite often, to my knowledge there are a little over 25 gen 1's left in all shapes/flavours hence the scarcity of sales.
When it comes to gen 2's I think I have seen even fewer for sale, a 4 door one in cream on wider steel wheels has been passed around a bit recently but can't say I have seen others, if I see one I'll post it here for you.

Earlier this week I came across a forlorn looking Maserati 4200 on fb marketplace, MOT ran out in September 2020 and it didn't run (flat battery), but was up for £3k which is at least half of what I've ever seen one for sale for previously. Had a day or so of being very tempted to make a financial mistake before it sold. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd need to sell my current car first, and the fact that the Maser robotised manual "F1 style" gearboxes have an appetite for clutches which are something like £1500 minimum, I may well have gone and had a look (not the actual car) I saw that too and it's really local to ke as well, badly telling myself I don't need it 🤣 I have accidentally just bought another (we already have one) Audi A2 so nothing else in 2022 is allowed to take my fancy

Yessir, a colour storm in imola yellow, it will be replacing the coupe GT ultimately. We have at present 8 cars, that's 4 too many. My Skoda rapid, my civic EJ, my accord and her coupe will go. Some small jobs to come on the coupe soon to get it through its next MOT in March, then it should be on the market.

I have this habit of not being able to leave anything alone. The S4 has been a fantastic work horse despite the 15-18mpg (this because it has near 500bhp not the 200-something from factory), we used to live on a road with maaany speed bumps, 16 in and the same out daily. The B5 would scrape on all of them no matter which way you took them. It would also drag drivers rear in the arch on larger undulations in the road with no load in the boot. I thought the car too low to use without worry and a quest began to find some newer suspension to replace the old stuff on the car, it was riding on the original S4 dampers paired to some lowering springs that were probably 60-70mm down. I snagged a lightly used bilstein b12 pro kit online and the swap over began. Now, I should mention here that given the amount of modifications the car has to the power and brakes I had assumed that the top mounts would be fine, they looked fine on quick inspection though Facebook b5 group have plenty of warnings on there as do the forums that you should double check and check again. Consider the can of worms officially opened. Yeaaaaah, dodged a bullet there, you can only see all this once it has been removed as from the visible side in the arch it looked fine. I didn't initially purchase replacements, I was praying to the car god's these would be fine. Another browse of that there internet found a full set of suspension in Newport, Wales for a bargain, these top mounts are ridiculously priced new (£300+ per side). A bit far but I already have the car in parts and the day off, luckily for me the fella was in, so I took a car that hasn't yet been mentioned on here to go get them. rooooadtrip. Just like that, I'm back and the new stuff all fitted together. Still low, just not as low and way more useable and slightly comfier too, I'd consider the ride on the bilsteins similar in quality to most modern cars now, firm but forgiving on harsh roads and not floppy in the bends. Well worth the money I paid anyway.

How did I not see that Datsun 620?! I loved the surf van, quite the unusual engine/chassis choice.

I was gifted a nogaro blue rs2 hot wheels for Christmas too, it's sitting proudly on the centre console, plenty needs to be done on the s4 but also, plenty needs to be done on all the cars really. Though housework and garage work took precedence, we're quite fortunately moving into the house the garage is at within the next month so I'll no longer have my tools split between two locations though it does mean I need to cut the fleet back. The house has been empty for a few years so the garage wasn't the only place with mice :/ getting there though and I might finally be able to do some upgrades in the workspace

Is a fruity preface lift (but facelifted) B5 S4 Avant in nogaro blue with blue nogaro sport interior retro yet? Probably not, more piston heads fair I'm sure. I have been battling mice in the garage. Turns out when the pitched roof was built, they never installed a lower face into the eaves above the shedded side. There isn't enough space on the outer side to be putting one in without disassembling the roof of the shed so lots of mesh bending later and we're proof .. for now

Aloha, I hope the title is clear, that I'm willing to give you... This car with the standard wheels (as pictured to the right, not the ones on the car) I have the v5, 1 key and that's about it, It's a perfect shoestring car, runs and drives, has MOT 'til Jan 2nd I think, currently has scrap that's filling up every orifice available except drivers seat needs passenger front wishbone soon as a bush is on it's way out and the exhaust flexi is going, it's on 185k or there abouts so does put out a light mist when on ecovteeeeec oh and the paintwork... not in the best shape, I got the car free earlier in the year for some graft. I'm looking again to carry on that legacy, if you have a trailer or a way of moving my 1989 Skoda rapid with no engine 4 miles from my house to my new house before Jan 25th but not on Jan 15th/16th, this lovely Honda could be yours.

and I think there were Datsun 240z turbo kits at one point, which must have been epic I have one of those kits, I am probably not going to use it any more as I have long since put the Z on back burner (will be going into storage in a few weeks for 2-3 years) and have a 2JZ in waiting instead of my N54/54 L28. The design is veeeery much of its time, also have quite a lot of adverts for the different kits, I'll dig out the photos later on, from memory its a rotomaster turbo with carbon seals, because it's a carb draw through system rather than traditional blow through. Has a bloody massive SU on it.

... the lumpy idle at traffic lights is a bit unnerving. I'm now having similar issues with my daily driver TT - intermittent poor running, The standard coil packs are known to go on them, had a similar issue on my 20v converted mk2 Golf a few years back, my S4 has had the 034 coilpack conversion done which I have faith in, I think my issue is that the 630 injectors don't like running at the lower end of the scale, car's really juicy and runs fantastically on boost but it should with over 700NM, it's like a cammed V8. Was mapped and fettled by MRC so should be good, when I have more time I'll get the injectors flow tested to make sure they're all balanced. I'm worried about driveshafts and gearbox to be honest

I am currently driving a B5 S4 that's had a g string pulled up its to make nearly 500bhp. It's not IF it will breakdown it's WHEN, they're known for being really unreliable and that's part of the charm I guess. I'm currently having enormous fun using it to help me move house but the lumpy idle at traffic lights is a bit unnerving. especially when the car is full of chod and I have no tools on board, most of my older cars I could fix with a tooth brush and some velcro but not this one. I have RAC so the only thing I have to loose is money and time if it does go and whilst I don't have a lot of money, I hope I do have enough time for neither of those things to be a real drag.

my understanding is, the two black silicone hoses with green clips on are vents for the float chambers, run an extended pipe down to below the car so any fumes are away from ignition sources. The zinc pipe on the left is a coolant pipe. The one on the bottom is fuel. I think the other black silicone pipe you have on is the other end of the coolant pass through but I cant remember it's been a while since I last looked at my R1 carbs on my car I have nothing running through the coolant lines on mine I'm also unsure on the brass insert you have, I never explored that area on mine, when I next go to my garage I'll have a look.

Whilst I cannot provide any knowledge on the 5 cylinder's because ours has worked quite well since we got it, my partner has a JS engined B2 Audi coupe, good to see another Santana found. The intake manifold on yours is it a cast item or custom made?
I (or diplomatically - we) have been working on the brakes for ours this year, parts weren't all that hard to come by in the grand scheme of things. You should deffo start a build/project thread if you haven't already, there are quite a few B2 and classic Audi facebook groups with plenty of knowledge on as well as the Audizine forum too. Companies out there are still developing parts to replace the injection system as well which I have been tempted with just because of age.
