indeed, the sigma can make very decent power and bloody good noises, they are nice and light and the design of the block lends to good stiffness and lower vibrations.
the steel 2.0 is a heavy old curse word, though ultimately being larger capacity some simple mild cams itb's and a decent manifold will get you near 200 bhp.
or fit a stock Honda K20..

16" should be fine on a C2, they ran a 17" on the code and vts.

mevs typically used 2.0 zetec engines from mondeos and the like, I helped a friend of a friend fit an ST170 engine and box into one, it was actually labeled Duratec on the cam covers.

Ive bought loads of stuff from cotswolds via the 5 series forum, including all the bushes for the shifter linkage bar the rear most one, onpy because I forgot about it! but mine seems fine, it wouldnt add much to any slack in the shift though I think.
for the rear axle bushes I made my own puller/installer, ill try and find the pics

as predictable as the tides are, they don't follow the tide of demand!
certainly does have a place though, its a huge amount of energy thats untapped and relentless, and we have so much of it on this island!

I think if you look up the 2018 figures its swaying even further towards renewables, I so believe there were some daya were no coal at all was used.
Also the Scandinavians are starting to use offshore floating wind turbines to run their oil rigs, instead of massive diesel generators, which is actually a massive step forwards as the generation of fossil fuel is far dirtier than any road vehicle using the stuff, shipping is a big dirty industry, and I have yet to hear anything about cleaning that up.

ive had a Clarke one for about 15 years or so by now, looking back I would get one with quicker lift, the height isnt especially low so sometimes some thin planks are required for very low vehicles, other than that well worth the £90 odd I spent on it, I don't think the price has changed significantly since either!

looks like a pretty normal Drawn cup needle roller bearing, likely to be metric given its knocked into the end of a french crankshaft. www.bearingboys.co.uk/Drawn-Cup-3843-cget measuring and you'll likely find something close enough, its what I did when I found the price motorfactors and bmw wanted for what is basically a 6001 cartridge bearing (or similar, don't recall which exactly) I was getting prices from £15-25, I ordered an SKF bearing from ebay at around £3.

that is an arc welder.
not especially suitable for car stuff, ok for farm and building site construction and heavy pipe work, car stuff is typically mig welding.

if its in a fiesta then you need stuff for whatever ecu ford used, to get a dump of the ecu map lexia/peugeot planet wont do that.

is it still throwing lambda circuit faults with the new lambda? if so then I would check the wiring back to the ecu.

its a tall fiesta btw, which will broaden your search somewhat.
