that makes things low ;D I'm my never ending quest to be self sufficient at the art of vehicle modification, ive found myself needing to modify leaf springs quite a bit, hence this totem like offering to the gods of low- its a S.B.S.(scrap bin special!) hence the interesting pierced and tubed box section i used- its a recycled redundant gearbox crossmember i made ages ago. how it works. it holds this- to then do this- so how i can decamber and reverse-eye to my hearts content

Dez - that is an excellent piece of kit and would love to do the front springs on my Chevy but the only problem is the "eyes" are different on both ends so even if I reversed the spring it would stay the same !

This might be against the ethos... but that looks like it could also recamber tired springs to restore ride height (and load carrying ability) Might have to knock one up and try and rescue the mk2 tina's rear end.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Go for it Andy. You may be able to sort the springs out on the rear of the `Zon.

Like it. Bet it will take ages to do though, lots of pumps letting down, moving pumping etc.

but compared to either buying a new set, or paying someone else to do it for you, this method is free

I'm not sure i understand the concept- restore........... ride.............. height?! as in make higher? why would anyone want to do that?! ;D

Like it. Bet it will take ages to do though, lots of pumps letting down, moving pumping etc. not as much as youd think. you take up the slack to the spring with the screw thread on the jack, so you don't actually jack it up that much. then the spring pushes the jack back down a lot of the way when realeased. you don't move the pump, just slide the spring through.
