Nice wee sleeper there! How much of a pain was the wiring?

Yet another superb sleeper conversion on here. Excellent work, you've really turned this one round. What size engine is that, I'm not up on the BMW engine codes?

It's a 2.8 lump mate, came out of this PRC - I got the loom from a guy on E30 Zone, he makes them, think they are about £150 with your old loom in exchange. I also got an electric fan loom from him as you have to ditch the viscous fan on these when fitting in an E30. If you go on www.e30zone.net (you have to join to view the forum) and look up a member called DanThe, he'll sort you out

Ah it's the 2.8 version, what power do they make?

Ah it's the 2.8 version, what power do they make? 193 I think, but mine has had the 2.5 M50 inlet manifold fitted (has larger inlet tracts) as the 2.8 was restricted for german insurance groupings, so they only make about 1bhp more than the 2.5 but a good dose more torque. I'm also running a full M3 scorpion system which has twin 50mm pipes throughout. I'd estimate it is probably doing about 220bhp now. Need to get a remap done to extract the best from it, will get this done in due course.

I agree with all that has been said. I also note your local to me, so I look forward to seeing this around some time (not that I'll be able to keep up!)

Nice conversion. Looks nice too.

Hello, i remember the touring from E30zone, it was bad times when it got bent, looking what you have now though, more that makes up for it. Stunning.
I will vouch for the qtr time, i do remember the touring wasting the 928 at pod!

Yeah, the touring shut down my mate's 928 at York 3 runs on the trot, I think he was asleep on the line each time lol.
First run of the touring was at the pod at the BMW show, but the cam sensor was duff and it wasn't giving the beans, so a best of 15.2 after a few runs and I gave up. Fitted a new cam sensor and a couple of weeks later at York it did a few 14.5 runs and sorted out the Porker.
In the Chromie on the first outing I got the 14.1 as a best of the day and a handful of 14.2 & 14.2.
I reckon there is a high 13 in there as she stands at the moment, we'll see after easter when York Dragway opens again.
