I managed a bit of time and money this week, time as in i just tooka few pics and gave myself a few things to think about, money...i bought 8 MK1 metro ball joints,so i can use 4pots all round, maybe not the most amazing brake choice, but with the mini servo a couple of line locks and an adjuster i think they will suffice,i can always upgrade at some point if they arent up to it, also picked up all bottom arm poly bushes, tie bars and bushes and the brake conversion pipes for the calipers! oh and il be picking up a meagsquirt or Go-tech this week too... this is looking towards the rear on lh side ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/84C66BBB-B2D1-46A5-A93B-1D52FF2DDB3E-1563-00000192116BC0C2.jpg) you can see my tempoary steering arm fixings, just so i could move it mainly.. ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/D473E7B1-5ABA-48EC-947C-B181E6899CDE-1563-00000192051DF599.jpg) ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/C7DC77CA-1EDE-4AA6-800B-9D55CFD7D294-1563-00000191FB72C659.jpg) water pump issue, after having a look , this can easily be sorted... ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/BB4E282B-6163-48C2-9DD5-7D37739DFC09-1563-00000191F092F81B.jpg) ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/F94C63D1-0C8F-417A-8348-F1FFC2AFE239-1563-00000191E76D2A4A.jpg) ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/3072D122-B169-477E-81D6-0D035D1FAE8E-1563-00000191D6A60A78.jpg) the awkward subframe mounting, again after looking at it, seems a minor problem!! ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/0E648225-64B3-4F1D-B753-58B955F6505A-1563-00000191CBE238DD.jpg) Subframe to heelboard mounting, for reference ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/A604C5FE-77C2-4019-8406-AEE7A8208488-1563-00000191C2BB7145.jpg)

Heres a bit of inspiration for you, Hemini, built in the 60s with a mid mounted 396 Chrysler Hemi in the bed, cant remember if it was supercharged, I think it was, ![](http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u197/ianianstewart/221510b8f7ad3326_zps35da709a.jpg)

Hahahah no not quite,i wasnt drinking tea at the time! All it was , is that I have had alot of time to sit down and think about things, ie the first being the water pump problem, then alternator , then the shock issue etc etc, then obviously I have almost twice a normal mini engine bay size there was no longer any need for it all to cramped in, anyhow, I feel like ive been slacking, although ive been working on it most eves I needed a break over the weekend, also crashing the minivan and having to drive the camper about has slowed me down a bit. I started making the roll cage feet so I can lower the cage enough to be able to weld around the tops and hard to reach areas, these took a little while as each one was different and I went a bit spazy with the Tape measure..... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Also the gearbox and linkage arrived after being messed around I ordered it from thorney sport, I'm now using a VX220 gearlnkage and Vectra V6 F23 box,so its all inter changeable and saves me lots of hassle, one less thing to worry about!! Dead van..... ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/crashedvan_zps4d367e8e.jpg) rear arch mock up.... ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/cagefootjpg6_zpsf9db2159.jpg) bit more rear frame done ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/cagefootjpg4_zpsca30cf0f.jpg) cage foot ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/cagefootjpg2_zps6b2e93ad.jpg) ![](http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264/ayp870h/cagefoot_zps22627289.jpg)

Nice project! Reading the begining I too was reminded of the "Hemini" from back in the 1960's and then I came to Ian's pic! But that was not a supercharged V8 - "only" an injected Hemi V8, but it never ran very often and was not as quick as the spec suggested. I have put a V6 3 litre Alfa in the back of an Alfa Romeo Sprint, so know something about the issues you are overcoming.
