The wheels look OK, just not on an SD1. And painting it matt black? Don't follow the sheep, you're better than the herd, and there's lots of colours in the paint catalogue (but the current colour does look good if you had it resprayed in that.
My tuppance worth? Lower it and get some decent 16" or 17" split rim cross spoke wheels (like compomotive CX or similar) or something similar to this:
