Ill take my hat off to that. gets the job done with a (£30engine), while being unconventional, and looks mean as hell too. even the scooby vent looks ok.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

A bit different to your average 'Halfords' Nova ;D

Cool - the American Import/Compact drag racing scene is really well funded and developed (VW Luminary Ron Lummas has moved over to the dark side )

Awesome. I'm taking a shine to early Novas, but they all seem to be disappearing. The LaxPower lot have all upgraded to Corsas and Suxos.
That Nova is something else, and not a mega-budget racer either!

Thats a UK car Yea, a know I just miserably failed to type everything I was thinking - the missing sentence was "I'm glad to see a decent FWD UK drag car."

Anyone know the email address of the guy with the 500bhp maestro? I know how to cure his launch problems...

I've always kinda liked them, just don't like them with kits and other curse word. There was a stunning silver one at the pod a few weeks back on S1 Ronal Turbo's I was there with a load of VW fans and they were all in awe, which suprised me, as the VW crowd, I hate to say it, are usually the most elitest of all

The standard of Novas is suprisingly high. If you go to the Performance Vauxhall show it's full of absolutely lovely ones.

I've always had a thing for Novas aswell - even through the dark days of the Novadose & Kingdom bodykits ;D On a similar note there seems to be a pair of Corsas (though I have yet to see them together on the same day) Both are badged as base model LSs - one still having a TD badge on the back too. One would appear to have a turbo'd XE the other an XE on throttle bodies. My mate saw the turbo'd one up at Santa Pod last weekend - he pulled up at the line along side a Subaru, he waved and smiled at his opponent - the crowd (who were predominantly of the 'Croooze' scene type) laughed at the little Corsa which wears those pretend five-spoke alloy wheel trims - the Corsa blew the Scooby away and ran an 11 sec pass and was about the fastest thing up there all day. Giant killing at its sweetest

Seeing as this is a Nova kind of Thread and Benz-Boy noting that the little cars seem to be sparse, here is mine. Used to be my Daily ratro while at uni as I did not want to use the Midget in the Winter. A good few years on here she is. Bought Brand Spanking New in 1992 by my sister, given to me for some strange reason about 7 years ago. Best park of it (And people never believe me untill they try) is it Still smells brand new inside NO KIDDIN. Its only a 1.2 mind, but does have the elecrtic windows
