My account was DEFFO debited by the total amount If you have recieved a confirmation email from them, (which contains a unique sales ref), then that is a contract to supply. Oh, and I've also come across some rather nifty examples of supplirers having to cough up the goods... I'm playing softly-softly with them for now before I unleash my legal whoop-ass w00000t!

If we have all been debited, the term 'class-action lawsuit' may be applicable.

Hahaha.
The bloke has just emailed me with a very sarky note to the effect that 'do you really expect to get £3500 of goods for £25
My reply is along the lines of TOO BLOODY RIGHT MATE!
We have formed a contract, & therefore he must supply. Arf arf arf!!!

Premiertoolsinternational seems like a small operation...They give a mobile number and don't have any T&Cs. I don't want to deprive a guy of his livelihood so 'I could do with an Arc welder and a few bits and bobs' may settle... Seems that to prove a point you're prepared to rob some little guy trader of several thousands of pounds, for goods you don't actually want or need? Seems a bit sh!tty to me guys. Its not like you're taking on Dixons. If a small firm loses £9K (how many of you have ordered?) you could be putting one of his staff on the dole. I've seen this happen in the building trade before where one sod not paying for his facias until after 9 months of court action had put one of the builders crew out of work.

I must say I don't know how comfortable I'd be with taking this guy to the cleaners either - it looks like a small outfit to me If it's a big corporation, then they're fair game in my opinion - they can afford to lose a few grand. But if it's a small business a loss of £9000 of stock could be the difference between staying afloat or shutting the doors permanently. I'm not claiming any moral high ground here - everyone's adults here and make their own decisions about what's right and what's not. I just felt I should put my point across

I'm with Benz Boy on this - it was also probably a genuine mistake on their part.

Ok... It does seem a bit tight. But on the flip side, the guy had our contact details, all he had to do was email or phone to say there had been a mistake. he could have automtically refunded all our monies. However he was quite happy to trouser the money that who knows how many people gave him and keep quiet. This, coupled with the attitude he's giving off means that (in my book at least) he deserves little sympathy.

I'm with Pogweasel.
IF he'd done the decent thing and refunded the money or at least made contact. Fair enough.
But he hasn't.

Not as yet. He told me his t&c's mean he doesnt have to supply. But his t&c's actually state the price listed at the time of transaction is the total & final amount payable. I have asked my lawyer friend to draft me a letter, which should make things interesting

Taking your money and not saying / sending owt isn't on. I dare say he could have headed all this off by refunding the money and saying that this product was no longer available... Not sure about any legal in's and out's, but I seem to recall some years Argos having to dish out LCD TVs to a number of people who bought them online for £29 or something daft, due to a typo.

It looks to me (and I may be wrong) as if this was a scam to make a quick buck. Wack some Pricey stuff on for a ridiculously low amount. Get loads of cash then change the price and refuse to give the money back!

If he was intending to do that, there is a fine of £5,000 that can be imposed.....

there's been a few instances - argos and amazon spring to mind - of goods having to be supplied super-low prices. since then the big retailers have all amended their t&c's to the effect of "prices sometimes change, we reserve the right to give you the option of buying at the higher price or a full refund". i noticed this when buying a phone on a website yesterday, they basically fix the price when it's dispatched, not when it's ordered.
however - i doubt this guy has such t&c's. personally i'd take him all the way to the edge given his attitude, then let him drop and say "naah mate, decided i don't want one". had he bothered to contact you, apologise for the incorrect pricing, and give you the option of withdrawing, i'd be much nicer. i still wouldn't actually take the goods off him though :/
