I absolutely LOVE the 400GT having only recently discovered it. I recently saw one parked next to a 250 Lusso and a 275GTB/4 and I think I would have actually chosen the 400GT just because I seem to see less examples of it.

One of my favourite Lambos is the LM002: More ostentatious than a Countach with the same engine and far worse fuel consumption. Perfect for oil sheiks!

My all time favourite Lambo is the P300 Silhouette...... forerunner to the Jalpa. Heavily Uracco influenced...... and probably the rarest lambo on the planet with only 31 cars known to still be in existence. Not bad really... cos I think they only made about 50 of 'em. All that outrageous Countach stuff was just OTT for the sake of it IMHO.

Amazing to think THAT V12 is alive and well and living in the Murcielago (until that car goes out of production). And of course you know about the one -off Neri & Bonacini bodied 400 Monza:

always liked the Espada, since having one as a toy back in the 70s .... a very nice design, which can't be improved ... but obviously barried ... i am also a big fan of the Estoque, which unfortunately didn'T go into production : a lost chance, as it looks a lot better than the ugly Porsche Panamera ....

What an amazing selection of curves and angles - it's like they created a clay mule designed with a set-square, then put it in a wind tunnel before it dried...
...in a good way, obviously.

I can never look at a Jalpa without thinking Lamborghini designers just looked at a DeTomaso Pantera and thought "That looks nice, let's make one of those!" ....... except that the Jalpa was based on the Silhouette body shell.... which was designed and built by Bertone.

An Islero would do nicely. Jay Leno has some nice vids on the Muira and Espada, a must see.

A little thread resurrection for Retro Rides Supercar Week. I think there's a lot of love for the 400GT in this parish... ;D
