A curious and interesting beast! I've never seen or heard of one before, but it looks pretty non-descript so I may just not have noticed. I can certainly see the potential cool there with a quick test-fit of some rims!
Very impressive pace with the welding skills too. In the earlier pics I was thinking, he must be mad, it's completely stuffed! Apparently not if you've got anything to say about it!

I've been after one for a while, it's essentially just a UR Quattro with a boot The further I get into this the more I'm starting to regret it... Nothing quite like the heart sinking feeling when wire wheeling rust back and then hitting filler... I've never seen so much filler used to fill a hole, this dropped out the back of it (the filler not the pliers ) - Then the hole in the C pillar - Aaaand a nice big bit of surface rust in the door shut that actually brushed back nicely, minimal filler there... Unfortunately it's the same the other side and there's a hole at the bottom of that one Ever start a job and wish you hadn't...? It'll be worth it when it's S2 powered...

Nice, there is a mint 200 Quattro around the corner from me, I never knew how rare they are.
Don't paint yours nato green though, it would look much better in it's standard colour, more like a sleeper.

I think that's a great project, keep at it man you'll have a rare retro on your hands there. Its painstaking stuff doing all the rust remedies but you're getting there slowly. That picture of the alloys on it would inspire me!

Oh yeah definitely more sleeper, but I don't want to drive a car that looks like total sh*t Anyway, more rust removal, welding, much grinding still to be done... Yawn Hadn't noticed all this nasty - But the car came with this so I should really have twigged straight away Choppy choppy Not at all boring

Tell me it wasn't you who made half the car out of filler? The quicker I get it done the less time I have to spend driving a Fiesta! ;D Think the original engine will have to do for now until a cheap 20vt turns up!

Both A pillars and the area around the light were pretty much made entirely of filler, and there seems to be a large amount around the rear arches/door shuts, I'm sorting what I know about and leaving it, ignorance is bliss, god knows what else isn't metal!
Ah well, I bought it as a project!
