We should probably make insurance companies a sticky! But anyway, I digress.... I posted a thread a long time back on insurance, yet I can't seem to find it so I'll just ask again. Does anyone have any good suggestions for insurance companies that will insure under 25's on classic cars, besides NUD. I have something meaty and fast that's tax exempt and heavily modified, so I need some help insuring it ...I've practically already bought it so it just needs trailering back now....from the heart it was! Impulse first, logic later! ;D (in a perfect world, eh?) Any suggestions lads? What companies are you using?

AON will insure under 25s on a classic policy, but not sure if they like modifications. Also needs to be garaged.

Flux insured me with a V8 Reliant Kitten when I was 21 and have insured everything since. Nobody comes close to price.

Adrian Flux laughed at me when I told them how much NUD insured me on my Sprints for So I don't think they're an option

Cool!
Well, I bought the car. So now, insurance!
FJ seemed very reasonable online (despite me having to put 21 instead of 20 to comply) so I'll ring and sort it out tomorrorw.
Thanks all!

Have you tried Lancaster? I'd highly recommend them from my experience, although my ride is much more lightly modified. They wouldn't insure me on other cars until I was 25 which was a pain. I've only heard good things from other people about them (apart from getting a quote - i suspect the phone staff might be a bit hit and miss) - I've also heard they are much more reasonable than Flux for paying out.
The other one I'd mention 'cos I've heard good things is Nidge on VZi (do a search...)
Talking of which, you could always do a search for insurance on R-R rather than making a sticky thread - just a thought (not a criticism or owt)...

Trawling where? VZi or Lancaster Nidge: Towergate Insurance the largest independant insurance broker in the UK! We don't sell on price but superior service , products , expertise & professionalism. Tel 01493 856556 Lancaster: don't bother with the quick quote if it's modified: 01480 484848 My guess is early vw fwd - golf or polo. Maybe Passat if you're super cool
