Well ... after an early start and a nice trundle back... The boat is home... (or at least at my grandads) I'm not going to say how much it cost as I paid what its worth... It has rot in it... but according to my grandad whos a carpenter by trade... Its easily do-able... The last owner only knows that from the then previous owner that its 1948, and was built on the thames by a company... But not sure who? He was told but it was lost along the line.... (so if anyone has an idea ) As for plans... Total resto.. Its a 4 seater and only 12ft ish long..with a 5 ft beam. Its been teleflexed at some point which helps.. and its all wired for electric start and charge. The screen will need changing.. And some of the ribs are going to be replaced along with some other select bits... And the trailer is going to be rebuilt and messed with before its reunited with the boat which is allready on woodworkers tressels in my grandads workshop ;D

Nice looking boat there.
What sort of work does it need?

Very nice looking machine! My brother & I nearly built something quite similar a few years back, but sadly it never got further than all the drawings.

HAHA thanks guys.. we are made up with it realy... Needs a bit of work on the ribs and the rear quarter of marine ply replacing you may just be able to see in the first pic? its mainly solid but my grandad has said that if need be itll just serve as a template and he'll pretty much build another haha.... But he said its no where near needing that at first glance.

mahogany decking, clean lines, daimler HEMI V8 Awesome looking boat. haha gotta admit we found it while looking for something with an inboard.. theres quite a few sub 15ft boats around with inboard rv8's.... open headers ftw ;D we'll see how this goes... might end up becoming a boat addict looking fwd to this, not many boats on here and that one is as cool as they come! cheers mate. ;D I'm gonna go over this week and see how its coming along... gotta take some floor over that we forgot to take out of the boot... Most of it will serve as templates as my grandad is a bit of a perfectionist.... None of it will be half arsed

Seth, that's making me want to redesign the one I have on the drawing board (originally intended to take a rwd car 2.0 & autobox froma scrapyard, in order to save on the cost of the proper marine gear)! ;D

I put this in the 'no ryme' thread but I thought I'd just drop it in here for inspiration. (for the trailer as well) I'll be keeping a close eye on this one, I've had some fun in speedboats in the past. The most memorable being a Ford 3000cc powered one with a milk crate for a seat ;D

I was about to say that looks similar to what my grandad had when I was little, but then realised I can barely tell the difference between boats so it could be completely different. His had an Essex V6 out of a Zodiac in it but the hull was very early 50s iirc.
