Well it's home, a nice ride to London first class (was cheaper in advance than standard!) with free coffee, buscuits etc... it was ace!
Picked it up, filled it up and drove home. Didnt miss a beat alhough it has some shocking wheel wobble at 70mph  I bravely drove through it to 80(on the clock but I think it is actually more like 72-75) where it appears fine or cruised at 60, tracking check and wheel check asap methinks.
Up close it's pretty tidy, small bit of rust on passenger door at the front, and plenty of marks where the owners of the past have been blind and missed the lock with the key (Who has ever done that!? Dunno how people do!) and the same on the boot. It's also got a good few stone chips here and there etc... but for a 29 yr old car the rest of the body is mint. No rust on any arch, or inner arch, or bonnet or front scuttle, or boot scuttle.
The boot is IMMENSE and the spare drivers seat he gave me actually just slotted in! Then in went spare coilovers for the front (Damn wish they were rear!) and a spare indicator stalk which allows you to control the speed of the intermittent wipers
So plenty of bits, goes fine, few jobs to do:
So plenty of bits, goes fine, few jobs to do:
1. Make up stone chip guards for front of rear arches in vinyl)
2. Get some LD stickers on it!
3. Swap drivers seat
4. Allignment and wheel balancing
5. get lower springs for the rear (60mm - 50mm on at mo)
6. Roll rear arches before fitting springs as it scrubs when you put folks in the back/hit big bumps
7. Try n see if I can squeeze in a 10mm spacer on the rear
8. Considder rear lights, maybe tint top half, or tint indicators red, or stock, cant make my mind up on that one
9. Degrease and clean and polish engine bay (just looks dusty), under bonnet, and boot scuttle which are a bit greasy
10. Polish n wax that badboy, and try to get some touch up for a couple of the marks...
