Thinking of 'dead' shows, which generally apart from RCS (CARS) should be on the hit list for 2006, this can inc any good car/bike shows, specialised or not. First on the list could be Xtreme Wheels in Landan for me. Any more dead certs for the year???

Theres loads. Depends what you're into. Just missed the Motorsports Show, must do that next time around, Ford Fair is one I've not been to for a while, RTTS, Gary's Picnic, The NEC Classic show, Americana, NSRA Nats, Wheels Day, NASC Nats, BugJam, J Fest or whate ever its called now, All Vauxhall Day @ Billing.... Mopar Nats, AAC shows, Taton Park, Weston Park, theres one in an NCP In Scunthorpe where they close the top couple of floors for display purposes... National Agricultural Showgroud @ Warwick has the big ass kit car show, and then theres the National Restoration Show (and Autojumble) later in the year.
Come to think off it go to Billing any weekend in the Summer and theres a car show going on of some sort.
Ace Cafe...
Loads of RWYBs, Track Days, drift sessions...
Newark Autojumble, and the NSRA (or are they NASC) Swapmeets, Beuliegh Autojumble, swap meets being run at Shakey,
Bromley Pageant, the Austin 7 do at Woolaton Hall in Nottingham in May is always a goodun for a static show with some variety and plenty of prewar stuff up to 80s.
I can never fit a quarter of it in.

I'll be at RCS[CARS] and Hot Olds Meet ( ) ... I usually like to go to Volksworld show, but I may be in the process of moving house that weekend, so I don't know if I'll make it If I don't I think I'll try and get to Wheels Day

Ace, Last few years of the shows i went to were searched in mags and on the net, I thought it would be interesting for everyone to suggest places they were going, if they know yet. I'm gonna try get to custom shows and retro shows but anything goes if its good.
Of course anything oop north which includes the Tatton Park US and Volks shows, aviod the Andrew Greenwood ones in Cheshire though the guy's useless at organising a piste up in a brewery, some 'car shows' featured heavily old vintage bikes and few cars!

Think they were meant to be Ford shows or classics or Mini shows Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire If you're despirately local drop by and make your own mind up, they just were not what i was expecting really, i thought the organising was a bit rubbish. www.classicshows.org/

Ah right... I went to a classic car show at Capesthorne (I think it was last year - pics in the gallery), yeah it was a bit disappointing. But then, it's a day out and there was some interesting stuff there so it wasn't too bad really

greenwoods run two shows in cheshire one at capesthorne hall and one at cholmondely castle, both of which i'm going too (imp club stand to set up and run y'see) i know what you mean about running a piste up in a brewery,we took 3 imps into the arena ,he thought one was an anglia and walked straight passed us to speak to a jag owner! we plan on parking on his toes this time around.theres also a show at gawsworth hall nr macclesfield ,not been there before but the guy who runs it says it friendly and informal but is expecting 400+ cars.i'll let you know how it goes.

[/i]reanimation in da house: First on the list could be Xtreme Wheels in Landan for me[/i] First show of the year is always the Italian Brands Day at Skoloster on May 1, all Italian brand clubs like Ferrari, Lamborgnini, Fiat, Alfa, Abarth, Aprilia, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Italjet, Vespa, Lambretta and some more wheeled things made in Italy gather for a laid back day of talking cars & bikes.... Next is Aprilia Track Day mid May at Karlskoga Motor Stadion.... Power Big Meet July 6-8 www.bigmeet.comWheels Nationals & Stockholm Cruising August 11-12 www.wheelsmagazine.seMooneyes Rat-Fink Reuinon late August www.mooneyessweden.com/ratfink/r1.htmAnd inbetween a bunch of Street Fighter Bike meets in Sweden and most likely Bomber Weekend in Finland..... DP says: All depending on the workload during the season.....

Shows that I'm hoping to attend this year: Ally Pally Classic Car Show VOC Southern 120 Gathering - just Amazons! VOC National Rally - more for parts etc as I think the main feature of the show is a Best Kept Volvo competition.... Riley Register Coventry Rally - pre war Rileys ;D RCS - need I say more? And that's about it really. I'm not really into shows as I prefer to use my cars rather than polish them. Also, this summer I have lots of car work to do - finish the Sprite's new engine and for the Amazon prepare three doors and a tailgate top for painting

dp has got me thinking about foreign RR excursions (HoTWire and RMAD stylee), probably next year when i've sorted the bank manager out. that would rule; a RR convoy. if we plan it carefully for 2007 it could be great Anyway thats another idea, back to business; more 2006 shows?

I really enjoyed the thorney island meet last year, super busy and super hot. The que to get in was really long, but they let me and other old cars past all the new cars and jumped the que! they said concessions for people that try!!! awsome

www.freewebs.com/wheelsday/ www.antchip.com/carshows/ < see under Surrey 1 2 and 3, it'll take you to the gallery for my shots ...not many for the 1st show, mind ;D was too busy looking! Weather is always stunning too, although last year was a bit cold and grey otherwise it's usually 30 degree heat ;D
