Bit lower than I was expecting but I know jack all about any engine made after about 1975
What's all this exhaust gas recirculating thing? The only thing I know about recirculating is recirculating ball and peg in a steering box. Pffft - technology.

EGR has been on yank motors for decades. I have it on my '66 Buick. I think theres one on the '65 Olds.

all that EGR throw me off a bit! if you tune an engine you would just ditch it anyway so why is it in a test about tuning engines??

Engineer You scored 84% Practical, 67% Theory, and 62% Performance! Well, you understand the physics and principles behind internal combustion, and can even put them to use diagnosing problems. But you lack practical tuning experience that would make you a perfect all-around combustion science expert. You're off to a good start, though, so keep learning!
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: You scored higher than 94% on Practical You scored higher than 58% on Theory You scored higher than 59% on Performance

You might be interested in EGR if your car had to pass an emissions test. Also just because most people junk it doesn't mean you don't need to know what its for...

The Clinician You scored 63% Practical, 68% Theory, and 60% Performance! You have combustion theory and science down pat. You've got an idea of what work and what doesn't in the tuning world, and you can diagnose and fix many engine and fueling issues on your own. You'd make a great mechanic and tuner, but chances are you're more interested in the physics and the science than you are in getting grease under your nails. Your knowledge and experience would make you a prime candidate to be a top-level race mechanic, if you had an interest. Good luck! I don't know if thats supposed to be a good thing?

(chuffed with that, thought i'd get 20's and 30's)
You have a good idea how the stuff works, and you understand some diagnostics and repair as well as tuning and performance. You probably get a lot of phone calls and emails from your buddies, asking for advice on repair shops, what vehicles to buy, and what go-fast stuff works and what's junk. You're rightfully proud of your knowledge and skills, but you've still got a lot left to learn.
