Another good episode. But how many times are they going to use that Red Mk1 Capri with Black Vinyl roof? It was in last weeks, in tonights and and it is in next weeks. Bit short on available Motors me thinks.

there a bit short of motors ! its not there fault I'm not defending them. People belive it or not WON'T take there cars also theres a problem with the cars themselves there either TOO mint OR THE OWNERS ARE too FUSSY ITS A BIG PROBLEM FOR THEM THEY JUST WANT ORDINARY CARS of the 70s ie imps cortinas escourts austins anything realiy. tomorrow when your out take a look around count how many ordinary cars of the 70s you see not many i guess

While it was on ( I've successfully managed to avoid this '70s pastiche) I was on the dog 'n' bone to a mate in London explaining why he should buy a late '60s Plymouth Fury instead of a Series One XJ6.
But we eventually decided what he really needed was a Series One Shadow

**Warning** **Warning** **Warning** **Warning**I watched last nights episode and thought yet again it was ace, but... ...I see the police '80's' Allegro with 'rubber sills' is still in it AND ... I saw another Allegro which looked standard 70's BUT it appeared to have 80's wheel discs. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

we eventually decided what he really needed was a Series One Shadow Hope he's good at working with very high pressure hydraulics..... Although tbh most stuff on a Shadow isnt that tricky, but there's just so much of it. A factory workshop manual is also about £150, but is very comprehensive - IIRC, it's about 5 or 6 large binders worth! If you know where to look, parts aren't too bad either - e.g. the front calipers share the pistons & seals wth something else - can't remember for certain but I think it's a Cortina!

I have a late 60s Fury so I'm biased.

Anyone else notice the 1975 registered Allegro in the car park as well!! It's a really good series, but the BBC / KUDROS can only work with what they've been given / afford....... so there's bound to be some inconsistencies.

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Fury? Shadow? Whichever car, that conversation was better than LOM - any day!

Hotwire should drop the Kudos production office a mail and get them to have a look at the readers rides board here, then they can get in touch with any members who's cars might fit the bill for series 2! That way they might get some less pristine/modded cars into shots, I'm thinking some of the imps, which were quite common as modded cars in the seventies!

its worth a try but the bloody directors call the shots and they all seem to want standerd cars as they say it distracts the eye it took me 2 days to put my imp back to standerd for LIFE ON MARS
