thank you for the replies people it shouldnt be a problem crushing wise... its got 4mm walls but i will cap it off with 2mm steel aswell for extra safety. i did some measuring today as what will be doable lowering wise: all these numbers are in millimetres and are the distance between the lowest part of listed component to the floor. (my car is likely to be different from yours though but it would work as a ball park figure I'm sure) Diff: 195mm Exhaust: 140mm Catalytic converter: 135mm (lowest point) chhop chop, weld weld  Tank: 227mm sump: 140mm (with guard so add 10mm for standard) Rear damper bolts: 140mm Chassis rails(?): 175mm (bits going towards the leaf springs) this was the distance between the top of tire and the point directly above standing: 83mm Lifted:183mm and pics cz pics r kl that was with the tire still touching the ground - crazy travel! big day tomorrow too so excited thanks all

hey guys, small update: i passed my test with 3 minors anf have put just under 400 miles on my car since - and only spent 50 odd quid on fuel.. quite impressed! The car rolls way too much while steering but lights up the tires no problem in the dry and also the exhaust snapped just now at the catalytic converter joining... i have never felt such a knob driving through town at 20 in 4th with the sound of just a manifold...

well not alot happened here - used this for bugjam loads of people saw and pointed "OMG it says LOLVO!!!!! ZOMG!!1!" which is always funny to see  ive put 2300 miles on this since passing (40 days) - i havent used it for the past week as I'm on holiday. clutch is slipping - hoping thats just the cable that needs adjusting as there is alot of play in the clutch pedal - 2 inches almost. and I'm going to get the grinder out when I'm back from russia, going to take 2 coils off then just match the back to whatever drop that gives me - Fcuk comfort!

That's some nice rake you've got there. Sliding forward off your seat much when you brake hard?

ok, few updates - i got landrover dampers for the back: quite a size difference haha fitted them: that didnt go great though, because the standard bushings were somehow made as a one piece the only way i could get them out was via the knife method, that went well. NOT. so make sure if you are using a knife for soemthing fiddly it has to be one that can lock the blade in place as mine didnt and closed on my finger had the clutch replaced too, bloody brilliant - nothing like a car that accelerates when you want it to didnt get any pictures of that was very dark but heres one of the !ghetto engine support" and then the lolvo was used to get to reading festival (that was bloody epic) the car was full = 5 people + enough camping gear for 4 days each that meant this: the low exhaust didnt help really. the thing scraped on road markings when i changed lane. also this happened: yup deffo need to re-route the exhaust once i take 3 or more inches of the rear height  nice arch gaps
