I know Revell, AMT and Ertl had them listed in there catalogues. Also I believe Gorgi Toy 'Gold Star' stockests have them but they are not cheap!

Now a quick question to all you seasoned modelers, how you spray all of the bit ya spraying in one go, without gettin ya hands covered, or it gettin blasted away with the power of the spray can??

Your best bet for the cool J stuff is Aoshima or Fujimi, you don't get any English in the instructions but that shouldn't be a problem That C110 is a 2000GT-X from Aoshima. I also have an KDR30 Super Silhouette from them as well as an R31 GTS-R and then a KPGC10 Works race car from Fujimi.

This thread is really making me want to break out the glue and Humbrol. Despite having a number of kits on shelf, got bogged down in modifications on a few and ground to a halt. Having kids around now not making things easier, look forward to the day when they can help me finish them off. This is a good book to get hold of. I remember Mat Irvine coming onto Saturday Superstore when I was a kid. There is also a later hardback version, both were found in remaindered stores. Rat-style Plymouth/Dodge sedan - I think this started out as The Joker's car, AMT issue. Mixture of bits from other US kits, including wheels from a NASCAR racer. E10 Cherry X1-R coupe, 'Nostalgic Hero' range of kits (made by Doyusha?). Not very accurate by Japanese kit standards, and has raised interior to take batteries and motor (a popular feature with them it seems). 1980's issue Fujimi C110 Skyline 4dr, dig that crazy camber! This kit even has tiny bulbs for front and rear lights. Bought on eBay. Above kit also shows this lot, drool........ I see two Cedric/Gloria 430, Toyota/Mazda sedans, Starion, Sigma and maybe Debonair (?), Silvia S110, Skyline R30 and Mazda 323. One of the ongoing projects (10 years?!). Monogram Maserati 3500GT with Chevy V8 and twin Holleys on a high-rise manifold, Borrani wires and some tidying-up of the bodywork. Also doing a Caddy hearse (was Ghostbusters car, may have to become a banger after I broke the windows, oops), and replica of Two-Lane Blacktop '55 Chevy. Finally, posted similar pic before but there's been a few additions. Leopard and R30 Skyline 4dr both bought recently off the 'bay, and DoH Charger was £5 in a model shop (recent issue too). Where to buy stuff? Ebay obviously as said above. Model shops can vary, most don't have much car stuff and seem to have a rather dull range of rally/race and more predictable choices. They can also be expensive, detailed Tamiya 1:24 range now well in the £20's, though oddly I did see the nice little Lotus 7 and Mini Cooper at less than £10. Autojumbles can be a good source, maybe even boot sales?

Mr. PaulH, any more info pics on the Volvo? I've got as far as a mock-up (haven't had time to do anymore as modifying / scratchbuilding like this is very time consuming): The AF thread is here Paul H: Some very nice vintage/classic tin ...and extremely well made! Thanks! They'd look much better if I'd bothered to dust them properly (esp the Bugatti) - just noticed that I hadn't shut the bonnet properly on the GTO either before I took the pic... The chrome on the Merc is all straight from the kit - no silver paint or bare metal foil. Looks good but a pain to build.

Paul H: I see you scratch build thats great, so do I. I made a model of a 1920's Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Armored Car (Produced/ used 1914 till 1941 ...a long time even by military vehicles standards) These Were made into these And I wanted a model but could not find one So I made my own, completely scratch bulit using only the Chassis of a Silver Ghost kit (as per the real vehicle), all the panels/box sections I made myself So now I'm happy
