The car has a top speed of 125. I'd say 'off my head' it does 0-62 in around the 5 second mark,Eh? ...What? .........you mean off a cliff? ;D And yes you must be 'off YOUR head'! ECU Superchipped AIT Chipped ...And he fully understands all this! Superpowerfull battery...So you got one off a commercial vehicle and burnt the electrics out!? Here is a list of what is modified on the car
Outside ...
...Red brake calipers I detail suspension and brakes on some of my vehicles but NEVER would I have thought to class it as a 'MODIFICATION' No doubt this Star will appear on Barryboys ;D

"Its accelleration is quite astonishing to be honest, Ive had polo gti's, golf v5's and 20v turbo's but none of them even touch the accelleration that this car has. In a number of small street races it has left suburu impreza's, bmw m3's and numerous other cars struggling to keep up with it. Before I had the car superchipped I believe the car had already had some sort of modification b4 as it was still fast then for a 1.6. " ;D ;D comedy genius! "0-60 time for a new M3 is 4.8 or somehting like that, as the car has been raced against one and both hit 60 around the same second the timing given is a close estimate, but as i said before hasnt been officially recorded. jez: chipping the IAT is very simple and adds 20-25 bhp to most Polos, combined with other chips and mods such as powerflow exhaust systems, KnN air induction kits etc etc a VW polo 16v should be able to do a 12 second 1/4 mile. " WTF?!?!?! LOLOLOOooooo111111111jgjdhbjasnbdfgjabnfgjka.... The car is as follows. Black 1995 VW Polo 1.6L 3 Door Hatchback Titl Steering Wheel Alarm, Immobiliser Electric mirrors Central Locking 15" standard wheels (alloys removed) Power steering 5 speed manual 101k miles blimey, i want that polo!

Looks like it's locked down to members only. Possibly because of the vast traffic it was getting?
So in effect that d0rk has screwed the forum, just by being a tw@t!??

Gutted i could only get to page 1!
Maybe the M3 was knackered or fake i thought, if they are all his mates they too are likely to talk out of their bum holes, but when i got to the 12 second statemant i thought what a first class muppet. Reminder of the dreamers that are out there!!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

There's a fairly simple forumla for working out the 0-60 time of a car based on weight and power. which means we can tell (roughly) how much power he has from his quoted figures www.cars-cars-cars.org/0-60-Times-Calculator.htm0-60 in seconds = (weight in kilos) / (max bhp * 0.9) Swivel all the forumla around and you get (max bhp * 0.9) = weight / 0-60 therefore bhp = (weigh / 0-60) / 0.9He quotes 4.8 seconds as his 0-60 time, and the weight is 990kg according to Parkers. so tappety tap tap tap my calculator says his 1.6 1995 Polo has a power output of 230bhpNot bad for a 1.6!

That calculation is pretty good actually!
Got our scoobys 0-60 as 7.2 secs, but it doesnt know about the 4wd.
Got our Volvos 0-60 dead right (9.6 secs)!

According to that, a 200bhp Shuv (XE with a bit of breathing) weighing 800Kg (fibreglass front end, plastic windows, no interior) gets a 4.4 0-60.
Score.
Hmm...Lada 110 had a C20XE...150BHP = 6s to 60.

Nice, when I put an RB26 in my car I should be looking at around 5seconds 0-60, in "claimed" numbers form.

ok for the kitten, the book says that a full race 750 should give 50-55hp, so say mine is 45, put that into the supercharger calculator, with 8psi, normal fuel, and no intercooler and i get 68hp. 0-60 in seconds = (weight in kilos) / (max bhp * 0.9) so 550Kg / (68hp * 0.9) = 8.9 seconds!! my target was 10! standard is ment to be 20seconds, with just 40hp, and i get 15seconds from the calculations.... doesnt take into account that there are 3 gear changes, and 3rd is REALY long (hence hopeing my more revy engine will hit 60 in 2nd

it's a pretty good calculation and it's near enough for most 'normal' cars - the only thing really to throw it out is traction. it's useless for 4wd cars, and i suspect any figures you put in that are bordering on lunatic (like our friend's 230bhp polo) may start to show some sort of large error since getting 75bhp through 14" skinnies is different to 230bhp.
but for my scirocco, and our mondeo etc it's within a few tenths. the polo figure it comes up with is a bit ambitious (6.5s!) but given decent traction it would have been close - as it it was hard to get it below about 7.2, giving Mr Pirelli a decent wage packet in the process.

Hmm not quite right on mine, would say the 4WD confuses it but the 2WD version is just as fast if not faster. 730kg and 64hp = 12.7 secs True performance = About 8.5 secs
