Wasn't there a chap in France who built a miniature Ferrari Le Mans race car about 4 or 5 years ago which had working everything , 12 cylinder engine/gearbox/suspension/ battery/ pneumatic tyres.etc He built everything from scratch . I remember reading about it in Classic and Sportscar where it had won car of show at Retromobile or somewhere similar.

I remember that article - it was 1/3rd scale & even the guages worked  ;D The V8 is very impressive! |

Got to have been early nineties if it's the same one (I can't imagine there'd be more than one  ) He made his own glass and everything! There are people in the US who've made fully working miniture aero engines (some of the radial ones have stupidly large numbers of cylinders, like 28!). In the artical I read about them they said that they couldn't actually use them in a scale aircraft because the output of the engine didn't scale down by the same degree that the physical size did |

I've been waiting to see this 'cos I've got a model hemi engine thats about 1/2 that size. mine don't run tho  incredible engineering to make it work, but to huff it as well? |
