Having just come back from Flame n' Thunder at the Pod and knowing it's the last show I'll do this year ( ), I'm now thinking about which shows I want to do next year. I haven't managed to get to many this year - RRG, PPC in the Park, Flame and Thunder and RR Summer Slam were the only major ones I did. RR Gathering 2010 is a must for me, but I want to go to more drag racing events next year too - last weekend was my first taste of top fuellers and I'm kinda hooked! I want to see them running in anger as I think they were taking it a bit easy at the weekend, as it wasn't a competition. If the Benz is finished I'm definitely going to some RWYB events. I also fancy going to a show at Billing - I never realised it was so close to me! At least one Ace Cafe jaunt is a must too - Retro Rides night most probably. I also want to do the RR seaside meet in March, if I can! So, what's on your "Shows to do" list next year?

Wheels day is a must. Goodwood breakfast club, depending on the clouds and theme. Cranleigh classics
Hope to get to a few retro/custom type shows.

Maisie will be 1 so it'll be a lot easier to take her to proper shows so:
RRG'10 Main Event @ The Pod European Finals @ The Pod Hot Rod Drags As many Area 52 meets as I can manage

Really want to get to RRG '10. Also Retro cars, and definitely the classic car show at the nec. Other than that i'll just pop along to the local stuff. After going to the rallycross at the weekend I also want to go and watch more motorsport.

RRG10
and then in no particular order:
RR beach meet @ Brean Retro Show Summer Slam All Odds Nationals (#13) Maybe an Area52 meet or two if I can manage it?? ;D
I'm sure I'll be at a few more....but they are the ones I really don't want to miss

Definites: Goodwood Festival of Speed Goodwood Revival Goodwood Breakfast Club (various) MPH Show BTCC @ Brands Hatch Ace Cafe nights (various) Possibles: More BTCC rounds Stock cars at Wimbledon Autosport Show @ NEC Rallycross @ Lydden Brighton Speed Trials Lots of niche stuff, hopefully - classic Ford shows, stuff at the Pod, whatever I can get to (missus allowing...) RRG always seems to clash with my summer holiday though.

I haven't thought about it at all yet. I might just wait and see what everybody else is doing and then tag along.
Probably my "usual suspects" of Gary's Picnic, Mopar Nats, Hot Rod Drags, will try get to the nostalgia nats this time, etc.
Next up I would like to get down to the Silverstone Classic again having missed this year. Funds and time permitting...
I've never done Goodwood so thats on the to-do list but probably not in 2010.
Newark autojumble...
Whatever.

Goodwood FoS/Revival one or both. Plus a breaksfast club or two. Something at Prescott, maybe the VSCC again Would be nice to get to a Beaulieu autojumble as I've not made it there this year. R-R gathering NSRA Supernationals Classics on the Common- Harpenden Would be nice to find something new to go to as well. Classic Le Mans is a possibility. Or maybe a jaunt to the Essen show.

Looking forward to seeing the list Speedman comes back with! 50plus shows and counting for 2009!!! yep, by the end of the year counting all the local meets, weekend shows, camping trips and gatherings i've probably topped 50 this year. Having a SWMBO who doesn't mind going to the shows and actually has a list of her own she likes to do its quite easy to fill almost every weekend! Next year will be no different I hope.... Something on New Years Day Wheels Day would be good Couple of Santa Pod shows, maybe a non VW one this time Camperjam - really laid back As many Castle Combe race days as I can make Some Area52 meets I need to get to a new race track this year, been trying to sample a new circuit each year and have managed it for a few years now Goodwood revival of FoS Maybe some European shows and race meets too More Ace Cafe meets - I fail due to work far to often We also want to do more camping trips in the van, odd weekends chilling away from everything. Summing all that up, as many as i can get away with really ;D

Wheels day is a must and this year i went to see street eliminator at pod which is also awsome (street cars running i think 7's!)
Id like to get to the RR gathering next year and also 100% be returning to players as that was a fantastic show. Also been to USC this year Volksfest Trax Autotuner i think it was called at brands wheels day and thats just the ones that came to mind!
But Street eliminator, Players and wheels day are must's in my callendar.
