DEATH/DEATH Austin Mini Cooper S
Blimey! Bet that makes for an interesting paddock, two people walking around with big scythes! Wonder if their hooded cloaks are fireproof? ;D

Went to watch the 750 motor clubs 'relay' race meeting at Silverstone a few weekends back.
It seems that all the cars that race in series organised by the club were all on the track at the same time. So there was anything from a Cossie RS200 & Gerry Marshal's 'Baby Berther' some more modern stuff like an Audi TT all the way through to lightweight E types, MGs & the tiny little 'Birkin' racers. It was bonkers! ;D

Mk2 looks very cool! What engine is it running? Presumably turbo power judging by holes in the bumper and what looks like an intercooler?

I've GOT to get out to watch more motorsport next year - I don't think I made it to ANYTHING this year other than a few events at Santa Pod.
Note to self: SORT IT OUT.
Must get to Oulton, some rallying, and I'd love to watch some hillclimbing, never seen any before!

on a similar topic, has anyone read this months max power? (i got bored ok?) they had a load of cars and put them against a lambo gallardo in a few tests. there was a mk2 golf there that beat the gallardo in every field except top speed, which it was only 8mph slower. it beat it in quarter mile time and 0-60 and maybe a few more, i don't remember
