Love the plate too.... ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC50.jpg) Rally Capri - just so right you could smell the dirt ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC53.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC52.jpg) More Cappa love: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC54.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC55.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC56.jpg) Would love to have seen this tearing up some forest track ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC58.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC57.jpg)

cracking set of pics, mate.....I adore kat capris ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Funny you should say that Edd - Kat kits got quite a lot of discussion (all positive) after we all clapped eyes on that Cappa ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) pointless fact- the Kat was designed by the chap that also done the tickford capri. aparently he got upset about something at tickford and went and penned his own capper kit. only the phase one looked so much like a tickford it had to be changed quickly to avoid copyright infringment! dream car number one for me (like one I'll never have) is a white Kat capri with the full option wood grain interior, black trimmings and white compo CXs. and the optional 280brake twin turbo wouldn't go down badly either ;D anyway, do contiue with the splendid pics, that 240z is rather tasty ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) that plate is just show right?

I pulled this from a previous thread and I would STILL love to own either a Kat Sierra or Escort in white: Best bodykits EVER!! I was only a couple of days ago about how cool the Kat kits (geddit?) were and how I'd love to get my hands on one of them - pref Escort, SD1 or Sierra. I was also thinking it's a shame that I'll probably never see a car with one fitted? Oh well. Thanks for posting that up Darren - a real blast from a fave past that has literally made my day. Thanks for the comments Rian & Lew - much appreciated ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Paul, I forgot to thank you for collecting/transporting 'that' item for a certain Sethmiester. I hope he likes it? (I'm sure he will ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png) Look forward to meeting you again soon. Right folks - last lot of pics for now....some more from the paddock. Bonkers exhausts on TR7 V8 (I figured these to be temp restrictors/noise suppressors for track requirements??) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC59.jpg) Hardcore Spitfire about to head home....track tyres on roof completes the look: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC60.jpg) It's engine was a masterpiece! ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC61.jpg) There were some LOVELY motors on the Droop Snoot stand, but by the time I got around the paddock with the camera, most had gone ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC62.jpg) DTV FTW!! ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC63.jpg) Lovely Mk1 all on its own (my paddock shots were taken quite late in the day and a lot of the cars had gone ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) ) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC64.jpg) Put a tiger in your tank: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC65.jpg) This tiger certainly did roar! ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC66.jpg) Gotta love the 'original' Hot-Hatch ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC67.jpg) Gate security had an AWESOME ride. I love 4x4 vans and this Tranny looked the part. ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC68.jpg) That 'Spit & Sawdust' MG again. ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC69.jpg) Midget looked a little lost & lonely ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC70.jpg) My personal fave of the Capri's (so I saved it until last) - a genuine factory RHD Zakspeed.....just stunning! I really wanted to take this home with me. ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC71.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC72.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Combe09/CC73.jpg) So there you go - the MM shots from a great day out. Looking forward to the Pod now..... Thanks again for looking.....

I will reiterate again how annoyed I am that I didn't manage to get to this.
I came back from my holiday in France having spent a third of it stuck in a hospital in Bruges because of a bowel infection that seems to have returned as I type this. It was bloody painful and knocked me flat. I had no strength at all and was running a high fever for the majority of my stay. Eventually I spoke with Paul H over the phone in Bruges and reckoned that if all went to plan I'd be able to make it.
However, as the Wire song goes, there was one bloody large fly in the ointment, and that turned out (unexpectedly) to be my C4. I keep my Volvo in my gran's garage in North Wales and as a result rely on the Citroen to get me there. Unfortunately before the holiday the OS rear wheel bearing was letting go in a big way and getting very loud.
I couldn't book in before my holiday because my indie place was booked solid. They could do it on the Friday, the day after I got back. Still not feeling 100%, I got it there and expected a call a couple of hours later saying they'd done it, because it's not a complicated job. I would have run it fine, and would have had to have done an early start, but the effort would be more than worth it.
Some time later, I get a bell saying that the disc and bearing has to be replaced as one unit and the former is a dealer only part. So the disc (part of the fourth set that the car's on, it having a penchant for warping them with depressing regularity) had to be replaced.
An overnight stay and £148 later, I get my car back at about 11.30 and am completely stuffed in regards to the Combe because I live in the south of Manchester.
So I'm really, really sorry I couldn't partake. I was hoping to get a bit back of the holiday back I lost through illness and my stupid modern couldn't even get me as far as Conwy to get my Amazon. 'curse word off' doesn't accurately convey how annoyed I am with the week's events.
The Combe day out is a bit unique with its mix of display and cheap track action, and I had also planned to visit friends in Bristol shortly after. That bit the dust as well, because I was now nowhere near them, and everyone bailed on her before I could salvage what was left of the day and get down there.
So now I haven't run the Volvo in over a month, my guts are still rotten, I didn't see the Combe and now I've completely lost faith in my 3 year old, 50,000 mile car that's supposed to be reliable.
And I missed another essential RR event. Sorry all, especially to Paul H whom I hoped to catch up with, and get my engine off, as well as HoTwire whom I'd promised I'd come.
Aaaaaaaargh.

Dude I know how hard you try to get to events ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ... so fear not.. I think it wasn't any individual that made me dissapointed just the overall lack of attendance, probably all of it very understandable. You've been having a rough time of it recently.. CelicaV8 we want to survive the drive down the motorway,.. Warnzee was always going to be arriving late,.. there are others on the list of attendance, but they I'm sure have good reason not to be there... Just one of those things. Besides, if we'd have had all the people turn up, our stand wouldn't have been big enough (due to a clerical error of some sort). BUT!!! Look at these photos, and the ones up on RSM later... NEXT YEAR!! NEXT YEAR!!!! We roll deep to the event, and get more organised earlier ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

next year I think I'd like to be there. its just a lot of miles for me to run my front tyres out and drive home on remoulds ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) next year I think i'm gonna have to come. something FWD that not many people know I've got i think..... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) and I thought "real" zakspeeds had a carburettor cologne engine not K jet? I've never seen a real one though so I may be barking up the wrong tree ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Pretty sure that little midget is running a rather HOT (Race Spec) A series.
Fanstastic shots and another reason why I love Capri's.

Great photos.....my fave is the R5 Turbo2....AWESOME! I squealed like a little kid when I saw it go past on the track. Gutted I didn't get any photos of it. There were loads of great cars I spotted out, but by the time I got my camera & got back to the paddock a lot of them had gone! Gutted because I wanted a really good nose around them. Saw your Panda.....couldn't help but notice the 'back' on it. What's that all about? Looked cool.... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) The panda van coversion is a genuine fiat thing - it just a bolt on item that replaces the tailgate. Italian postal service and gas/electricy board use them, the conversion never made it to our shores, I found the van bit at an autojumble some years ago.
