That IS one ugly mo fo. But if you're just gonna use it for rally slag / autotest action, and it was cheap then who cares how munted it is. Enjoy!

Oh man, get that curse word off it, do the right thing, please! If / when you do, hope that the panels behind are ok as I dread to think of how much wag must have been needed to blend in those bumpers....

At the minute I don't know if I will keep it. If I do it will be getting painted a single colour. But I wouldnt have thought I would take the bumpers off it as it would be impossible to take it off without damaging the arches and as the wings have been cut for the arches it would need another set back on anyway.
The wellers and the 4 pots are coming off for my MK1 so I will probably fit M16 calipers onto it and a set of wide dartboards

I always wonder what the garages/yards look like where people create things like that... Loads of random bits off all kinds of different cars lying round, then a lightbulb moment for the owner - "I know, that random Micra bumper is JUST what this car needs!". It's like really bizarre engine transplants, and the story is always "well, I just happened to have this <insert random engine> lying round in the garage, and my mate/brother-in-law/neighbour knew someone with a <insert improbable car> that the engine had just expired in..."

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Well, I like the wheels, and I like Sunbeam Talbots in general. That's about it though, the bodykit could be worse but it could be better too I reckon, it might be better if it was all the one, non-flourescent yellow colour mind you.

I like the front, and the wheels, but i don't like the sides, the swoooping arches...seems strange...now, maybe if it was in orange with silver/chrome wheels....

After giving it a quick ckeck over there were a couple of nice surprises. First was electronic ignition. Its a sierra block (not a 205 unfortunately ) I had noticed the dipstick tube had been sealed and then I found out why, it has a big wing sump with the dipstick direct in that ;D. The front wings are actually fibreglass. Where the body kit joins the bumpers it has mainly been built up with expanding foam then glassed and then filled then most of the foam has been removed. Perspex door windows and a spare perspex bootlid (glass at the minute). Four pot callipers seem in pretty good condition . Needs a few bits of welding but only a weekends work really. Needs some on both inner wings and a little bit under the back valance. I will decide what I am doing with it when I come back from holiday I reckon. I would like to get it roadworthy and respray it but not much time at the minute
