Slightly Off Topic I kow but I wanted to pay my respects to one of my all time heroes, quite possibly Britains best ever comedian died in the early hours of this morning aged 76. He brought us shows such as Porridge and Open All Hours, along with the sketch show, The Two Ronnies with Ronnie Corbet. Its a sad day for Britain and for Television and Comedy as a whole, there wont ever be another Ronnie Barker, but his memory will live on thanks to his genius. So yeah thats about it, hope he rests peacefully and that his work is continued to be shown for many years to come. Ronnie Barker, 25/09/1929 - 04/10/2005

Good thing about his shows, was that anyone could watch them they were not too smutty but still fantisticly funny.

He was a comic genius.
Modern so called comedians could learn so much from studying RB's work.

Heard about Ronnie Barker's passing this morning, a very sad time for all. The pilot episode for Porridge has just finished on BBC1, it was great to laugh again at this comedy hero, but still tinged with sadness. To anyone who doesn't know, there is a tribute to him on, I think, BBC1 at 10:35 tonight.
God bless Ronnie, you will be missed but not forgotten.

Fork Handles.
Makes me laugh like a curse word, every time.
Respect.
And for 'on-topic-ness' how cool were the HMP Slade Mk1 transits?
