I'm saving the pennies to buy an old Merc. Fancy one of these but a question.. Is it possible to remove the "Blinds" in the side window? What would it look like? Anyone do a bit of photoshopping please? If I don't go for the SLC ,I was thinking W108 or W116 Opinions needed.

No idea if it's possible or not, but if it was it'd look a little like this I reckon it's not a very good photoshop because I did it pretty quickly, but you get the idea!

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

An SLC nice car, much of the glamour of the SL (But with roof) and at half the price. A good choice. Nice car as it is no need to mess with Check the boot floor for rot

Is it possible to remove the "Blinds" in the side window? What would it look like? Judging from the pics, the blinds are there to disguise the fact that the rear side window isn't full length. It's shorter so it can wind down all the way, for the pillarless coupe effect, as if it was longer, the rear wheel arch would be in the way. If you remove the blinds (assuming it can be done easily), it will probably look very strange, as there will still be a small fixed window (like a quarterlight) at the back.
