The lady haalf and I are off to view a flat in a building with secure parking underneath it.
Anyone got any experience of how favourably they might be with regards to working on cars in there or how it may impact insurance being in a better area and moving from open-driveway to secure parking?

Most underbuilding car parking I`ve seen have signs saying no petrol tank charging / discharging - not seen signs about working on cars but I`d check the lease as they probably wouldn`t approve of it I doubt you`d see much change in insurance but it depends what postcodes you are moving between

Insurance tends to go down a bit if you've got secure parking - as opposed to on-street parking anyway. I would think that as long as you're not doing a total strip-down of the engine and box in the parking space, people should be OK, but it all depends on how snotty your neighbours / landlords are.

It's a 5-series BMW / SL55 kinda place...
On an interesting note, the guy who delivered my curry last night used to own a droop snoot Firenza and loved the shuv.

It's a 5-series BMW / SL55 kinda place... If you can blag it that you're just cleaning & polishing your car, (even the engine & suspension ;D ) then I don't see why not. Otherwise though they are likely to have a sense of humour* failure... *This is assuming that they have one to begin with.

I used to live in Walker In Fawdon now, looking at moving to beside Gosforth Racecourse. Ver' posh. If I go with it, I'll be sure to take a photo of a lineup of middle-management-mobiles and the shuv. *n

As long as it's not explicitly outlined in my lease, they can't really do much...
a roll of carpet and a drip tray should ensure no oily marks on their precious concrete...
