An XM drove past me the other day when I was on my way to work - hadn't seen one for ages.
I really like the styling, and how there are so many DS and SM cues, but without it being a 'retro' design like the New Beetle or Mini. The design lineage from the DS, to CX, to XM is cleary visible, and by the XM, they had even managed to make the estates look good too!
Even has hydraulic suspension already, so no need for airbags ;D

Hmmm, interesting. I like the XM - I have a soft spot for anything that attempts to be out of the ordinary. I think the XM was one of the last of Citroens quirky cars before they started sh*tting out dull, blobby rebadged Peugeots (yes, I'm aware they have been working together for some time, but it hasn't been as obvious before). Retro yet? Not quite, but certainly in a few years.

I thought they were amazing when they came out with all the gadgets but they never seemed to last very long (some didn't even reach their 10th Birhtday), must have been a nightmare to work on, and they aren't that old even now.
Yes I think in a few years they will have a good following like the 'D' and 'CX' range. XM ... the last big Citroen (even though peugeot own them).

My old boss had an estate one, J23 MNO I think. It was HUGE in the back - we regularly got all kinds of improbably large objects in there. I borrowed it one weekend to take a load of stuff to the tip, and amused myself (and my friends) by playing with the suspension - making it go up and down etc. Got in it to take back to work on the Monday and this huge red light starts flashing on the dashboard... So (obviously) I ignored it. Parked it up outside the office, and as I walked away I heard a loud "PSSSSSSSSHHHHHH" noise and when I turned back to look the road was covered in bright green LHM fluid. Ooops! Cost £700 to have put right, but the guy at the garage was on my side - "would've happened sooner or later anyway"

I go past one each day on the bus. It's black, on steels and looks bloody EVIL.
Love them.

My dad had one , but then again he is a Francophile. I love the late three litre ones (sister's in-laws have p'raps the last one sold in the UK) but, typically, my old man had an early two litre - pah!

Definately future-cool.
I wouldn't be able to own one without driving it everywhere scraping along the floor.
Mega-cheap to buy too. Snap 'em up before they all self-destruct!!
