After seeing a few inspirational rides at RCS, here's my thread of the week - design, using manufacturer parts only, the car your manufacturer of choice should have built - copy and paste my compiled list below and fill it in as you would have the car built... Bodyshell : Engine : Gearbox : Rear axle : Front brakes : Rear brakes : Interior : Seats : Extra gauges : Exterior detailing : Wheels : Anything else : So.... Here's my example Bodyshell : Dolomite Sprint Engine : TR7 2.0 litre slant 4 w/ Triumph P.I. or HS8's Gearbox : 2500 Saloon 4spd w/ J type overdrive Rear axle : Dolomite Sprint w/LSD Front brakes : Stag discs w/twin calipers Rear brakes : Stag drums Interior : Standard Dolomite w/smaller steering wheel Seats : Triumph 2500 leather seats w/headrests Extra gauges : Oil pressure/Oil temp/Water pressure Exterior detailing : Rear spoiler Wheels : Stag alloys Anything else : Sportier looking exhaust. Lower a bit. Bigger chin spoiler Summat like this

For the imp its got to be the twin cam model that was going to compete against the twink cortinas. This would be coupled to the jack knight 5 speed box and LSD. Coupe body shell, or a van with group 4 arches, decked on split cross spokes.
If the twin cam imp ever was it would be an amazing car, seriously quick.

edit: changed it to 2 door, imho, id prefer a 2 door (of course)

This ones easy as i'm building my one already Bodyshell : 1970's Mazda 323 Engine : 10a or 12a from a Mazda RX3 (I'm using a later engine tho') Gearbox : 10a or 12a 4 speed Rear axle : probably rx3 but with the 323 links Front brakes : RX3 Rear brakes : stock or rx3 drums Interior : RX3 Seats : RX3 Extra gauges : 323 SP Exterior detailing : Some nice rotor touches ala the rx4 Wheels : 13" steelies or the standard rx3 alloys Anything else : nope

Interior : Standard apart from 123GT dashtop and tacho
Seats : later Amazon front seats with front headrests
Extra gauges : Oil pressure, tacho (see interior)
Exterior detailing : early Amazon front panel & grilles, with matching all white indicator / side light clusters.
Wheels : '70s style slot wolfraces, or 240 GLT alloys
Anything else : decent stereo (but all concealed), and of course dark blue paint with red interior!!
