Hi, I managed to spend little time in my garage this morning. I need to move my Mini back a little for me to complete front end but I have to get my alloys refurbished. So, I took front off the car to weld it. Here is the result! I'm getting my alloys shot/sand blasted so I can etch prime it then paint gun metal colour. Cheers Atchi

Hi, I have fitted 1 tyre to a reconditioned alloy! I will be finishing off 3 more alloys and I shall fit them to front of my Mini and reapir back end for last time... I hope. I have to do same mod to D/S before fitting my alloy with tyre..... Cheers Atchi

Hi, While I'm painting my alloys to check/make sure/proof....my front suspension, I found that it will touch my tyres and alloys on both front springs. So, I have to mod my coil over set up somehow. I first saw this setup made by Jon Bett, his used especially made kit. But since I already have the one works so I just cut and weld in closer to centre by 1" or so. different angle. I will do the same for the other side. I have now got a new fuel pump so I can get on with it. I am working on it but progress is very slow. Cheers Atchi

Hi, Today, I went into me garage and spent bit working on my car. First of all I fitted my wheel to P/S to see the clearance between tyre and a coil over. Angle looks better and I have more than 5 mm gap between spring and tyre, result! So I started to mod my D/S shock mount. I shall weld up tomorrow and get my other re conditioned alloy with same Yokohama tyre. Cheers Atchi

Hi, So, I managed to spend 4hrs in my garage today... I know it's shocking! I spent doing a lot of things I wanted to do. !st of all I wanted to finish suspension mod with welded in a braket. Here we are. Next thing will be fitting my wheel, again it will be Nitrogen filled gun metal Hayashi street. It will be be done tomorrow. I came to conclusion that I was scared of finishing my Mini because I don't like electrics. So, I have decided that I will be buying special fuse board from CBS to do the job. I will be starting my extension above my garage soon, so I shall buy it in and do as much as I can this summer. Cheers Atchi

Atchi, you are working miracles here.
DIY turbo manifold: MADE DIY rear adjustable beam axle: SCRATCHBUILT DIY roof chop: DONE New Baby: BORN big new insulated shed and DIY heater: BUILT/MADE Scratchbuilt pedal box: IN
All done in what looks like a tiny garage on the side of a modern house on an estate where you no doubt get grumbled at by the neighbour (who lives 6ft away) for too much noise.
SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN A DRINK!

Thanks guys, my neighbours are OK about my car as I usually have roller door closed. I will be making radius arms as well so that I can fit Swift Gti rear disc brake setup! I went to pick up my alloy with another tyre! Then I fit it on to my Mini! So finally, I can check my wheel arches and drop front end to the ground. Then I can turn my car around and start again on heel board repair. Same time, I shall buy fuse board soon. I'm working hard at it but 1 step forward and 2 steps back! I guess progress is progress no matter how small! Cheers Atchi

Thanks Froggy,
Me too, after fitting those wheels on front..... I got my mojo back! I have expensive dual SU fuel pump to fit and once I get delivery of the fuse board, I shall start my wiring. I think this is where I will have most fun scratching my head and hearing colourful words.
Cheers Atchi

Brilliant work and having two projects (if you don't count babies, that is) on the go at the same time is serious dedication to the cause.
Keep up the good work.

Hi, I managed to get in my garage today first time for a long time due to illness! Today's effort. I managed to weld in a heel reapir panel which Jimmy made it for me. Then trial fit of my beam axel. It looks OK but I think I need to mod exhaust a little to go through that gap. Then I start to fit a radius arm and I got tired so I came in and started to cook dinner before everyone comes home. I shall try to fit the other side next weekend and my car is rolling shell again! Cheers Atchi
