Hi, It has been while. I bought a 3 in 1 system come with Tig/Plasma cutter/Arc. I have tried it with Tig and I thought I got hang of it then it turned to pigeon sh**! Oh well, I can use it as a plasma cutter and it works very good! I have now started with re-making of twin exit system from 2 bike boxes. I ended up using MIG with stainless steel wire! Cheers Atchi

Hi, I have been making a turbo manifold for a while. This one you can see is my trial piece but I have both TD04L and T2/T25 turbo flanges to make with. I got a set of flanges for G10(993cc) Swift engine which I have spare in my garage. Die to space in y garage or luck of with my parents' moving back to Japan. I can only do things with little space I have. Hence, production of turbo manifolds. Well, it will pay towards my project as well. Cheers Atchi

Hi, I have finished making Turbo manifold for G13B engine. It is TD04L and it fit OK-ish. My well knowledge friend told me that I will need to rotate inlet side of the turbo. But I didn't understand untilI fitted it! It touches oil filter so I need to disassemble it and rotate a bit! Cheers Atchi p.s. I will be making a turbo manifold for T2/T25 as this is for my friend!

Nice Work you've got going on there. certainly gonna be rapid.
I'm not gonna make a big thig of this, but If I were you, I'd go and get a BIVA Manual before you go to much further with the body work...no point repairing the wiper spindle guides now only to find they wont pass a BIVA when your done.
My mates cobra failed last week because there was no writing on the HT leads, and the fuel pressure regulator never had a warning sticker to say it had a flamable liquid running through it.

Thanks, mate. I'm trying to get in there and work on it. I have now completed welding on my twin exit exhaust and I will be tidying up all the weld. Once it is tidy, I will just hang it up to save space!

Hi, I haven't been working on my Mini for a while. This is due to luck of space in my garage due to too much stuff from my parents. So, I asked to council if I need planning permit for building big shed or not. Fast forward 1 month the this has happened. For me to get to this stage was fun..... First of all, I had a girl's wendy house where this foundation is laid. I was going to skip it but my better half had the other idea. I have 4 days to move it to other location in my garden but before that, I needed to repair bottom of it. Then 2 weeks later came my shed boys off ebay. They came 9:30 this morning. 1.5 hrs later. They erected 16x10ft shed in 90 mins! Oh while I was not doing anything, I made patio wood burning heater, too! This is after 1st burn off for the paint to burn off. It is made from most of my scrap steel I had. I have paid £35 for 8mm stainless steel and 3mm steel at the bottom. I will be making my shed into workshop so I will insulate and board it up with Stirling boards to keep nice and warm inside in the winter! I shall start my car project again soon! Cheers Atchi

Hi, So, I have been not working on my car for a while. I think it is about time I work on it again! I have started with my suspension and brakes. Today, I have swapped my bottom arm on P/S as it was easier access. I have adjusted to be 3mm longer as I have seen in book somewhere I will get 1 degree negative or so. I am fitting 8.4" vented disc with 4 pots this mean I will be moving up to 13" wheels!

Hi, I picked up modified drive flanges from my machinist yesterday. I needed it to TIG weld so that it won't rotate while I'm tightening wheel nuts again. I can't TIG weld but it should be good enough for what I need it to do. Then I mounted onto a disc rotar and assembled everything apart from pads. Trial fit of alloys, just to check. As you can see, PCD is now 114.3mm Swift Gti setup and my alloys have 100PCD as well. Tomorrow, I will be doing same to D/S. Cheers Atchi

Hi, I have been busy working on my driver side door. The bottom looked bit crispy.... well, it's gone. So I have started to cut it out and fit new metals in. This is how it started. and this. When you use wire brush on grinder, it show true state! So, I made thicker steel bends long enough and started to weld it in. Then grind to look half decent. I still got corners as yet and also, I will need to fit strengtheners. I will be using Aluminium skins for all of my doors so when I repair all, I have to paint it then fill it with either glue/seam sealer. Cheers Atchi

Hi, It has been a while.....BUT.... I have been busy making rear beam axel which I can adjust both toe in/out as well as Chambers. It is trial fit but I managed to snap a stainless steel bolt so I have to take it out before I fit it proper....Doh! Anyway, it is made from CDS tubes and folded steel plates so it is quite light. Cheers Atchi

Hi, Today, I fitted seat frames. I have to taken some strengthening down to fit them for driver side as my seat are far back than standard. Here is a pic. Once I finish this, I will start fitting wiring harness. As wiring harness will be going from front to back, I don't want my seat rail or any moving parts to touch it. Cheers Atchi

Hi, I finally bought pair of wings to reapir and start again. It is sticking out a lot so I have to re-do the steel wheel arch. It has been cut by 1" and re bent to take steel wheel arch. I need to get hold of 175/50-13 to see how big it will need to cover! Cheers Atchi

Hi, I managed to get hold of a full length electric Webasto sunroof. So, I cut out what I used to have. End result is a big hole! Then fill it up with a fabric roof frame work! I also got hold of 4 new tyres thanks to Mr. McD. I will be refurbishing my alloys then fit with nice Yoko 048Rs! Then I can make my wheel arches, again. Cheers Atchi

Hi, I started to do wheel arch on L/S. I made sure it will cover my wheel set up and it is 89mm wide. From front it looks like this! From top. I have tacked arch to the front panel as well as to the wing. I will seam weld and grind it smooth. Then I should be using my etch primer. It will take long time due to modifying to make it nice fit as well as making it reinforced. So that when I have taken it off, it won't be changing shapes. Cheers Atchi
