This is a reasonably on-topic way of saying that as of tomorrow morning I'll be away for a fortnight A trip to the Fatherland, should be in Stuttgart on Friday night (Mmm, Porsche), and Garmisch-Partenkirchen which is south of Munich by Saturday So let's see some pics! The more retro-obscure the better - DKWs, Goggomobils etc, although some lovely BMWs, Audis, Opels, VWs and Mercs are accepted of course I'd sort some right now myself but I'm tying up loose ends in this temp job before I finish this afternoon!

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Love the Bitters! I don't think I'm supposed to say, but we're doing some work on the new one- the SCII (or something similar - based on the Monaro). Couple of NSU's Porsche, and a DKW behind it DKW again Mean looking 1602

It wouldnt surprise me to be honest. We got shafted for 30k's worth of MG stock when they went down, just done a load of bits for a company called Decoma which went fine, only they came from Canada to inspect/collect the last of the 30 hoods just as we started making the first one. Our automotive sales/management team sucks ass... Although Vauxhall have just released the new 6.0l version with horrendous bonnet scoops and side skirts... Back on topic, have an Audi down the road from me:

I love the 935 look, they made a 1.4 version that only raced a couple of time, mostly for publicity. And of course Mobydick the full on LeMans version Baby 935 Mobydick J P.S. i know that mobydick isnt all one word but its the only way i can get it past the sweary filter!

Maybe not the most obscure of cars from Germany but my absolute favorite, managed to find one of these quite rare (birds) in the early 90's, drove it for some 3 months before some ol G decided he (or she) needed it better than me, it was stolen in the car park at Fashion Island Newport Beach and never found again..... Loved that lady......

penski in da house: Cosworth 2.5 Evo 2, I think
Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II is the full name of this lady, yes a Homologation special made in small numbers, if I recall right mine was # 250 of how many I don't really remember. Yepp it had a Merc/Cossie developed 4 cylinder 16 valve 235 hp 245 Nm motor, the sound of it around 7.000rpm was pure sex. I reached a dizzing 235kph (CHP clocked) just outside of Barstow on the way to Las Vegas......
