Something else that really boils my piss is the nuggets who won't move over a bit to let motorbikes through, particularly in slow moving traffic. They should have hot pokers inserted in their eyes. did i tell you that i like you ;D i find that annoying - if i want to get through i will and if theres no gap i wont go - my sense of mortality tells me no gap = squish

Yeah we have the NZ matorway patrol thingie, sandwiched between UK ones.
It's surprising how 'easy' we have it here - half the time the cop just gives the UK driver a verbal warning, or £60 fine. In the NZ version they wander around the car with $300 for a licence offence, $300 for a headlamp out, $300 because they've not got the roadworthyness thing displayed then they 'pink ticket' it and order it off the road anyway! $900 and you have to fix your car, we'd just get a 14 day producer for the same stuff.

1. Ignorant people with absolutely no awareness of their surrounding space, yes, your conversation is more important than anyone. idiot.
2. People who cannot judge distances, and pull out in front of you because they lack the brain cell to have the ability not to panic and pull out anyway.
3. Isn't it amazing how 30K Audis are not even fitted with indicators?
4. Yes I am most impressed that your level entry leased Renault Megane has front fog lights. Pity the driver isn't as bright.
5. Police cars that will hover on the 70mph mark. Have you seen the carnage and traffic build up behind these guys?
grrrrrr!!!!

Have you also noticed that 90% of cars in the middle lane are either:
Mercs BMW's or Lexus's

Right well my caro nly has four gears 55-60 mph on the motorway is fine for me. So i sit in the slow lane happily watching all the cars fly past me, i get to leisurely watch the '3 lane chops' as i like to call them. All the people desperate to point out how bad the other persons driving is and how good theirs is, if you are concentrating on proving someone else wrong, how can you be concentrating on what you are doing?
THe other one that gets me is 'lorry racing' they sit side by side, one obviously having enough go to get past but no doing it. I had this on the way back from uni this year, i overtook a lorry doing 50 up a hill and pulled back in. once over the hill he pulled next to me and started indicating to pull back in, with me in the way. Now he expected me to speed up or slow down in the imp its a little scary as i am barely at wheel nut height, but i stuck my ground and everntually after about3 miles he sped up and pulled back in. what a di*k.
Any action you make on the road should not affect any other road users
Rant over, I'm gonna fit my new grill later!

I think there should be a minimum speed limit on motorways of about 60 - 65mph (excluding lorries) - anyone who can't drive a car safely at these speeds shouldn't be on motorways / dual carriageways full stop. definately enforce a minimum speed of 60mph for all vehicles. If lorries can't do this (and lets face it, how many actually have a working 56mph restrictor in these days?) then stick them on the A-roads. Motorways should be a way of getting quickly from one place to another, not somewhere that everyone needs to use just because it's there. A VERY big no thanks to a minimum speed. The issue is not the drivers skill, but the capabilities of their car. Sometimes there is no choice but to drive on the motorway, and there are plenty of 1960s cars that aren't capable of cruising for long at 60mph, let alone the vast majority of prewar cars. The minimus speed limit thing that has cropped up, I can understand what you are saying but some of us don't have large engines and I find 60 a struggle, I'd rather poodle along at a comfortable 50, but then again I will be in the correct lane and you can overtake me in the middle lane (if its not blocked by some muppet). Fully agree! Right well my car only has four gears 55-60 mph on the motorway is fine for me. There is a big difference between what you call a '3 lane chop', and correctly returning into the innermost clear lane. Personally, I prefer the later, as anyone who is so oblivious to both the highway code and also their surroundings that they feel the need to stay in the middle lane isn't going to be swayed from this by the actions of other road users (except perhaps the plod), as such people generally consider their driving to be exemplary...

I'd like to add people who don't keep a safe gap behind other cars - it really winds me up - just overtake me you curse word, I don't want my back end mangled by your stupid Zafira.

Everyone does that in France. W***ers. Probably got more roadspace-per-car than anywhere else in Europe, and they insist on chronic tailgating. Then they whine and gripe about all the gatsos on motorways, coppers with radar guns etc! they are fugging shocking drivers, if they didnt have such spectacular crashes so often maybe there wouldnt be such a need for all this tech.

I've developed a new hatred...... People who don't get in lane 1 quick enough when they need to exit - therefore swerving across two or more lanes without signalling. Some sh*thole did it to me last night leaving the M4 @ Jct12. He swerved from lane 3 across all three lanes to exit - there was that little time that he went across the shevrons..... .....and guess what he was driving......yep, a fuggy Merc SL55 - complete knob-cheese (excuse my language )

Some great points have been made here and they're good sense! I'm up and down the M4 every week from J48 to Maidenhead in the 240s, and popel carriers with 'Baby on Board' stickers hogging the middle lane really get my goat.
But - one of the best bits of driving was late one Sunday night near Reading when an R5 Turbo and two basic Novas shot past me on either side (I'd moved from the inside to the middle and was getting ready to move to the outside lane to overtake a middle-lane hogger) doing at least a ton. It was just typical Max Power driving at its worst...

Oh... there's another....
Overtaking a rep in the 244, who then takes umbrage at a big old barge going past them, and having to get past!
