I am SOOOOOOO sorry for this blatant hi-jack, but....having just looked for cool P5's, I found this.... If that hit the dealerships I reckon Rover might still exist...or they might have existed a little longer at least. But to keep ot OT...

There used to be a red P5 owned by a guy called Winston but I can't find any photos of it - has appeared in Street Machine but my collection's locked away in the loft at my Mom's house.

Yeah, theres that red one with the pro street treatment, the ex-Street Machine one which I believe has now been scrapped and/or banger raced, there was a nice gun metal grey one about, not seen that in 20 years though LOL and a REALLY nice black one on Centerlines which used to live in Nottingham. Not seen that since before I owned mine, must be 7-8 years ago maybe. There was one being built at Burnham Autos with a Chevy V8 and Jag bases suspension but it was being sold off as an unfinished project maybe 2 years ago and I think it might have got broken up.
Lovely cars, not often modified visually. I've seen a few prepped for classic rallies or fitted with the 3.9 EFI v8 or what ever but visually stock

They seem to be a hard car to find any pictures of modified. Obviously not a popular choice for one reason or another. I had an idea to 3 door convert one and drop it to the floor on air suspension with a mahoosive set of cragar super sports shoved up its arches and completely dechromed and smoothed. Maybe roof chop it and definately stick a monster v8 in it. Any photoshop experst want to take that on??!! Please

Graber (I think) did a couple of convertible ones. See if you can find a photo of one of them with the roof up - would give you some ideas of a 2 door version proportions.

Winston Sewell = red one from a ways back. Quick google throws this pic up - usera.imagecave.com/p5tgc/dragp5.jpgThere is a posh restrained pro-streeted one with Chevy, was it LS1? in one of the shiney comics a while back. Had quite a stock style interior. OK that was a P4, as it happens there's a pic on same place as above one! popularclassics.forumcircle.com/viewtopic.php?t=3971
