Anyone except Framptons still doing them as I don't fancy paying £50 +P&P for a pair but want to order them before making them becomes illegal at the end of this month.
Annoyingly my local plate place used to do these for £15 a pair but stopped doing them a while ago because of DVLA pressure and now won't do ANY plates unless you are DVLA registered trader.
insert: fuggin red tape, communist china, all the usual moaning.
So, anyone else think of anywhere else which can make a set up at short notice?

The only ones I can find are pressed aluminium reflective - available here for £30 the pair www.mgm-spares.co.uk/vintage-plates/The separate digit post 73 ones seem to have died a death....

I have a set of their regular silver separate letter & black background plates which were about £25 / £30 delivered. The plastic letters are just riveted on, so I see no reason why the rivets couldn't be drilled out, the backing plates re-covered in the appropriate reflective material, and the letters painted black before being either re-riveted or even attached with self-tappers.

Are there not places in Ireland who can do them, free from the iron fist of this gubbermint? I don't see any Irish companies who do them. They mostly seem to be the purveyors of italic tat and occasionally "euro" plates. I have found just two companies who still do them and both are c.£50 per pair. I just found out I need to rewire my whole house PDQ so £50-odd for plates is not really ideal
