Just fitted a set of these into the Allegro. It was a piece of wee as all the anchorage points are already built into the shell. Best part is they only cost £35! Ok, so they're only static belts and have to be manually tightened up every time someone wears them but its 100% better than having nothing! I didnt know until recently that Halfords sold this type of product so if your retro doesnt have any rear belts maybe its worth considering fitting these. I'm posting this as a sort of heads up for anyone who wants to make the odd safetly mod!

I think they must be old stock, Halfords (or at least the store I work at) haven't sold them for a long time. Something to do with safety regulations apparently

These were made in 2004 and they had to dig them out of a stock room. I can understand the safetly regs bit, I guess Halfords don't want to be involved with any dodgily fitted belts!

Yeah I found a set at the back of a shelf on Friday that had clearly been there for some time. First time I'd ever seen them.

Nothing wrong with static belts - I actually prefer them They also hold child seats much better than inertia reel belts.
