Well i suppose it had to happen and sooner rather than later, it's for the best in the long run. Nikki just found out how overdrawn i am, and has made it very clear how dissapointed in me she is. I should really have curtailed my spending long before now, being a dad and a homeowner. I've embarked on a massive clearout to try to appease my wife, and bankmanager. Everything is going even the BRMs I got some tyres shuffled about this morning, en gratis, thankyou very much mr local tyre man (know hom for years, and did try to pay for the weights and valves!) So now i have a set of stock 14" steels with 195/60s on the back and 175/80s on the front. Should i rock the standard stainless trims, or tidy up the wheels and go NASCAR-look?

Trims do it for me, Mark. Bank Statement Day always makes for depressing reading, I had mine this morning, and even though I'm better off through not smoking, it's still not enough to justify owning/running two cars....so the Oxford's off I think. I feels yer pain!!!!

ouch i too know the pain of the overdraft...my better half is still blissfully unaware of the debt I'm in....i await my swift justice as a 'when' rather than an 'if' I vote to rock the trims, but get some of that tyre blackener if you can (£3 aint much) as it'll sit them nicer with the newly blackened grille hope it rights itself soon buddy

Trims look a lot nicer.
I never liked the BRMs anyway (sorry! lol).
I also feel your pain, my pickup won't be going back on the road in the forseeable future, thankfully I don't have to sell it though!

Yeah, definately trims.
I'll be in the doghouse very soon myself as I have to spend a large portion of my anniversary holiday money insuring the Escort, which probably means no holiday.. was hoping for a last minute deal, and didn't realise insurance was this month.. :\
..This is all money that should be paying off my credit cards of course >_< Don't have to sell anything though (yet), which is good. -_-

steels, IMO the trims look wrong when the car is lowered. I feel your pain. I'm funked. I have four cars here and one in long term storage and I have precisely one car on the road and even that seems touch and go at times. Creativity not cash. Now if only I could "create" an MOT and running drivetrain for a couple of mine...

Cheers guys, the last couple of days have been an ebay listathon.
I'm feeling the bare steels at the mo, just need to get rid of the rust stains and get em looking respectable. Would be great to white letter the tyres, Firestone would look pretty cool on the fronts, but on the rear Kwik-Fit Centur isn't quite the same. Some white bands would be nice, but thats buying not selling so currently very off limits.

I'm in the same boat. Got paid yesterday and i'm still £200 over my overdraft limit. Think the uno turbo is going to have to go :-(

that's sad to hear! Hope for you all the solution will be near!
I just come out of a bad period moneywize (due to creditcards and lot's of yahoo japan buying), but I have no wife and no kids to take care of, so for me it's relatively easy to recover (just don't look at ebay/yahoo japan anymore)

Steels for sure, reminds me for some reason of a Carrera Panamericana car. Looks hard as nails.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I quite like the look on with the trims you know We all come across fianancial difficulties at come point. I got laid off from work about two months ago, and can't even sell a whole car! I'm pure skint, a pennyless student is a common thing anyway.
