Ok, to stop arguments about this car's curse word-no it isn't ALL I want on this site is your individual experiences. So, for instance, if you bought a Porsche 911 and it turned out to be fekked then perhaps that would be the worst car, even though (I think most of us would agree) the Porsche 911 isn't a bad car.
Mine - Worst, difficult one - the Austin Metro that started losing power every 10 mins probably edges it from the Austin Allegro that my dad got me as a first car. Don't get me wrong my Allagro was pretty bad - sheet brown, needed loads of welding for an mot and then the engine blew up. All the acceleration of a dead whale but....I learnt to drive in it and then managed to travel pretty much most of the country in it. The Metro however had no saving graces whatsoever. :-( It was stolen and the insurance company paid out which let us buy a half decent car (well one that would get us more than a mile without being overtaken by kids on BMX's anyway!).
Best car - even more difficult - probably the Saab 9000 that I had that was easy to drive, started every time, would keep up with most things that I needed it too and that was big enough to fit anything into. It never went wrong - and both the stereo and the cigarette lighter worked in it. Boring choice I know but it never let me down.

Tricky one this. I'd say the worst car was probably my Citroen XM. I only paid about 50 quid for it as salvage and repaired it but it had so many electical problems that every time i started it up a new warning light used to come on the dash. In the end I used to call it the christmas tree. As for best car, I'd have to be biased and say my Cortina I have now. Just because its the longest I've ever owned a car without taking it to bits and loosing interest in then scrapping.

My worst car was probably my Pug 205 turbo diesel, purely because of its poor reliability. Don't get me wrong, it was a 10 year old car when I owned it a few years ago and would've been great when new, but it cost most of my student loan just to keep repairing things that went wrong - including a drive shaft that snapped on a busy junction and a hill start 30 mins before an important exam - very inconvenient! My best car would probably be either the Mini (unreliable, but so much fun) or the old BMW 325 I had last year (fast, reliable, fun to drive, sounded great but easy to crash into trees on a wet bends ). The mini probably wins because its the only car I still wake up and want to take it for a drive, even after 2 years of ownership! It must be love!

Best: My BMW 318iS, without a shadow of a doubt. It's fast, comfy and surprisingly economical, it looks like its doing a ton standing still, handles like its on rails, and I just can't find fault with it. Worst: Mk4 Scrote 1300. Various shades of white with ill-fitting XR3 bits. Rust EVERYWHERE and wouldn't start if the ambient moisture level was above 0.0001 parts per million. Slow, noisy and generally curse word, the only redeeming feature was a half decent stereo. This was promptly thieved when I forgot to lock the doors ( ). All in all an embarrasment. Wouldn't have been so bad but I paid £350 for it to buy it off my brother (I'd just killed my car and needed another instantly, he needed the cash to pay off his ex-bird or sommat - it seemed agreeable in the pub after 5 beers.... ). Sold it to the other half's bro who barried it up even more and thraped it to death in MaccyD's car parks etc (he is getting better!;D)

worst the 1.9 pug 405 i had. sure it was quite fast and looked cool? with 1.9 205 gti alloys. but it broke down a the drop of a hat, had an untraceable ignition fault and let more water in than the front of the titanic.rear foot wells always an inch or more deep in water. best the benz wagon ive got now. its big, its slow, it uses sh*tloads of juice and the rear suspension is a pain in the . but its never let me down once in 2 1/2 years. travelled all over the country and clocked up nearly 25k faultless miles. it sleeps 2 comfortably with the seats folded down. writes of mk4 golfs without sustaining too much damage. and is so rat it shocked the jumper wearers at the annual m b concours i went to. ;D

Best? My Amazon, although the Sprite is a very close second.
Worst? My spares Amazon - the front end was smashed in, & it had severe rot in some very strange places.... still a bargain for £70 though ;D

My worst: probably the embarrassing Hyundai Pony I have now (but not for long! ). It's not that it isn't reliable or anything (never let me down yet!)... it's just soooooo dull. Not even curse word enough to be an anti-fashion statement or something. Best: My Mercedes W115. Always starts, never lets me down, and I love the stares I get when driving it! So what do I do? Kill a Vauxhall Corsa in it and rip out the engine for a V8. Yeah that'll fix it! ;D

Worst: My first car 1980 Volvo 345 1.4. Hawaii 5 0 type soft suspension coupled with a mexican wave type "shimmy" on the back end produced one of the worst driving experiences ever. Max speed 84mph if you were brave enough. ;D ;D
Best: 1984 Corolla GT AE86. Quick. Fanastic sounding engine with an 8000RPM rev limit. Great Handling and had many many hours spent going sideways. Sadly past away in 2000 (tinworm). Engine still lives on in my mates Avenger rally car.

The Worst,(you 'll love this) a brand new triumph stag, I paid a huge sum of money for what i thought was a cool car in 1978,it had sat in a dealers for ages so the first day i drove it the exhaust collapsed.if you've ever seen one it comes forward then goes back....then while it's sitting in the garage ,idling, and some of us are listening to the rumbling and puffing of a new rotten exhaust, water starts comming from the tail pipes, not just condensation but actual water!, It blew a head gasket,it was 36 miles old!. The heads were removed, several head studs were broken, threads pulled out of the intake and it was decided that the water pump should be inspected (36 miles remeber),the pump is about 2'" diameter and it had sheared off the impellor. while the guys were pulling this triumph of english engineering apart,it was decided to machine the heads,WRONG!<the heads were now flat, but the cam bores were still wobbly, you must press them flat.when the engine was started ,it promptly broke some of the cam saddles. Heads were removed again, and sent off for machining. on the second attempt, the engine was being cranked over and the rocker covers were off,as it slowly turned over the timing chain broke!!! When the chain was replaced and the car handed back to me,i was leaving the garage and there was this hissing sound,it burst a heater hose!!!. Leaky head gaskets still!. Weeks later, after gaskets were sourced from the UK,(all the NZ ones had been used up) I got the car back,i then clocked up 3,600 miles. It ran a big end. The engine was removed, the crank was found to be severly worn and tests done at the crankgrinders showed it to be too soft,so it was reground, shot peened a nitrile hardened.. SIX months later,i sold the thing... Idon't even have a pic of the ....never mind. The best Car?,lately? Any mercedes i'm driving
;D ;D

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

my worst car, peugot 405 deisel what an utter piece of unreliable curse word that was and the most expensive car i ever bought!!! at 650 quid. poor starter poor runner poor brakes poor sus and leaked like a seive. my best car was my 1966 hillman minx, rebuilt to a good standard by the previous owner . very lowered , side exit exhaust dark gray rostyles with low pros and a very nice 1725cc engine. stock bodywork in baby blue and really good chrome. looked like a sixties street racer. wish i had a piccy cos she was an absolute beauty. this shape but as described above

Worst car - A Peugeot 205 XE. I was supposed to sort it out before I passed my test, but it woulsd only start when it felt like it, it had a hole under the drivers seat in the floor, and had the worst fitting panels I have seen in a car of that age. Oh and 5 seat bolts sheared or snapped when I was removing them. Scrapped it in the end.
Best car - My current Jetta. Cost me all of £20. Cost about £250 to buy, tax and MOT, and is still going strong about 12000 miles later. Only problems have been with the Pierburg (surprise surprise), but its got a weber now anyway. Bargain at twice the price.

Hard this. All of the Imps I've ever owned have been tempermental swine, but I've had great fun with most of them and I haven't been without one since I was about 13 or something (first one was a total lemon with no floor and a twisted shell and a front end made of filler bought for practically no money but I learned a few things about motors with it! ) so depending on my mood at the time they've been either the best small car ever made, or evil unreliable little b*stards! I love them really though! Other than that I've not owned many cars outright, but I've driven a few regularly. Currently the best non-Imp has to be one of the ol' man's Volvo 740 saloons. Almost a quarter of a million miles and it still looks like it just came out of the factory, looks great in its original metallic silver with full red interior too. It's very original too, only the bare minimum has been replaced, tyres, bulbs, plugs etc, although I think the diff might need replacin in the near future, but besides that it's in amazing condition. The worst is a 2003 motability Poxhaul Zafira, 1600cc depressingly enough. Gutless, boring, and so unbelievably unreliable. The clutch goes all the time, it's been replaced recently and still feels like it's knackered. It also had problems with cutting out and not running repeatedly, which is very worrying when the car decides not to run anymore and just stops on main roads and motorways!! Then there's the doors, which don't shut properly unless you really slam them hard, and even then usually don't shut right, which results in doors not being secured when you're driving along, it hasn't lost any doors to traffic yet but it's only a matter of time. I dare say this car is a one-off lemon and they're not all like that, but believe me it's put me off ever buying a modern Vauxhall, even though previous VXs I've been quite fond of, going back to my Grandad's Vivas, Crestas and Chevettes, even as far forward as previous more modern VXs, believe it or not I quite liked my mum's gold 5 door 1600 A*tra mkIII. It wasn't cool or exiting by any means but it was a nice reliable little car.

WORST CAR!!!
MkIII Astra 1.7TD
After getting loads of stick from a girlfriend about all the Skodas i owned i decided to buy a 'NEW' car. I bought an Astra that was 2 yrs old, had been company owned with FSH and receipts for everything that had been done inc replacement bulbs in the dash. I had owned various MkII Cavs with no probs so thought the Astra would be ok. HOW WRONG COULD I BE??
First the Turbo went, garage wouldnt repair on warranty, said it was general wear/tear. The the central locking went, followed by the immobilisor, then the gearbox packed up, the head went, the laquer started coming off, then i had an electrical fire followed by the diesel pump packing up. All this was within the first 6 mths of ownership. Hence the sale of the car for a huge loss and returning to Skoda ownership.
BEST CAR!!!
SKODA RAPID CABRIO (2 litre 16v)
My best car has to be the old Skoda Rapid Cabrio i owned 5/6 yrs ago. It was a 1986 D plate in white, and was a bit of a street sleeper. It had been fitted with a 2 litre 16v engine from a Dolomite Sprint. To say the car was quick was an understatement. I had loads of fun racing all the young lads in their Nova's etc and leaving them standing, they used to think they'd been thrashed by a standard Skoda with a loud exhaust. If i can dig out some photos of the car i'll get them posted on here.

Seems like Vauxhall really need to sort out their consistency, it's like some of their cars are alright and some are awful. Must be trying to prove that even though they're all German now they can still be British or something. ;D ;D ;D Change the badges to Opel ones, and that should sort any problems!! ;D
