Hi, this Hyundai from Holland still has a 1.3 sohc engine in it, but that is gonna chance. I got my hands on a original 1.5 sohc turbo fitted in a special series accent. Upgrades ; K-sport coil overs Front and rear strutbars bucket seats aftermarket steering wheel apexi rsm Coming soon ; Green stuff brake pads Whiteline swaybars Rota slipsteams in black Pics ;    I know it's not retro, but still hope you like it ;D |

I'm going to be honest; I hate Hyundai Accents with a passion. However, you are doing something different! And different is good, sometimes. Each to their own. Good luck with the project.

Thanks, well even I hate it sometimes, maybe just as much as you ;D. Standard it is a horrible car but now
cornering, due to coilovers and strutbars, becomes fun.
I'm gonna throw all the really ugly interior in the bin, the weight
is going approximately to be 850 kg, with the engine making
about 150-160 bhp. Should be fun

Kinda liking the front look of it. Would look well cool a bit lower.
Liking the sound of the plans - would be a deffinate wtf moment when/if people see it at track days.

ive never really paid these much attention but i think with a bit of smoothing and some cool wheels itd look very cool, like the turbo idea too.

theres one of these but the coupe body with a v8 in it over here in oz. now thats a WTF! moment when you see it doing burnouts from the back wheels. shame it's bright blue or it would be a good sleeper.
It my not be retro now but i think you could make it a bit more retro styled with a little effort.

Nice idea!  Always had quite a soft spot for the coupe version, and the later WRC version was the nuts!!  Be interested to see more of the work you've done on this. |

Haha SWEET!! I've had dirty thoughts about doing similar stuff but to a coupe one!! Could mkae it look ace.....quite JDM etc. I assume your using the 1.5 Turbo out of the S Coupe Turbo??

It's basicly the same engine as the s-coupe but with some minor changes like the intake.. 427Read some stories about that car, never found a direct link. Is the engine placed in the back or with a new drive shaft? Tought of making it rwd briefly, engine in the back, but that's mission impossible. |

I like this project because I don't like Hyundai Accents... if that makes sense?! You're doing something new with an undesireable car... that is cool. Can't wait to see the engine go in! |
