	Vauxhall 3.3 Cresta,all the ones i see in your mags etc. are 2.6 liter cars.This is in NZ ,they also had the FB victor with a 3.3 engine.legendary road rockets!!!
	Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

	Nope,the viscount was seperate model downunder,but how come they never feature in your mags?.

	I agree, they are a fugging disgrace, even for the 60's.

	i mean, how do get 124 bhp and 179lb/ft of torque out of 3.3 litres of engine , a true feat of engineering to come up with such low numbers. still gorgeous motors and ive wanted one for ages

My Amazon has a similar power figure, and probably not much less torque from just a 2.0, and it's a normal (ie pushrod ohv) engine of the same era.

	it is an old GM truck engine. When you look at them they have an inlet manifold like a scaffolding bar bolted along the cylinder head, with a poxy little zenith carb off a Reliant or somthing balanced on the top. Total rubbish. One of those with a modern injected 3.0 senator lump + dual-mode auto box would be the_bo11ox.

	I mentioned at the beginning about New zealand having victors with 3.3's in them,PA's in New Zealand (at least) had2.2(?) 2.4's and 3.3's ,My dream in the early 70's was to find a PA with no rust...I mean a PA with the 3.3 and the big back window,rather than the ugly buick style 3 peice and the fullsize tail lights. Re the victors,They were FD and later.they must have been a NZ only thing and were built to race against Valiant Chargers and falcon gtho's in the benson and hedges race. They were basically the victor with the 3.3 in it,but with higher compression than standard.i often got customers in at my work with suspension alignment problems caused by the weight of the six bending the victor suspension out of shape. From what i can see the english 3.3 must have been detuned because even an old 3.3 could blow the doors off Holdens new HQ V8 in 1972.speaking from a little experience there. This was before Kiwis starting putting chevs into victors to build camaro lookalikes... ;D
