if its not you and you decide to sell it you should make at leat 10 times what you paid. not going to tell you that you must keep it, cos if it doesnt suit then its time to move it and get something else. or plough that money into the capri. congrats on your progress though.

If you unplug the ABS sensors, they all read the same, hence the light should go out! It's quite a primitive system on these old Mercs y'know Worked for my MOT! lol

my MOT man will test the car and if it fails only charge me half price, if it passes it costs full price.. therefore i can findout either way and he is very good and 'realistic' as an MOT tester. L)

I'm not saying I'm Batman, but have you ever seen me and Batman in the same room together?.........
And no, I'm not Ben Affleck!

That looks stacks better!
The MOT tester will check to see if the ABS light comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out when the engine starts. Theres no escape!

on the ABS light thing, my dad once bought a car that had had the ABS light wired in series with the handbrake light, we figured they had got it through test by pulling up and letting handbrake off while tester looked through window

My Mum has threatened to help pay the CT, but knowing my old dear it's more likely that i'll get money out of her if i'm selling a car. She knows that if i'm selling a car it's serious!

Sorry that circumstances have ushered you rapidly out of your Benz, life does have a tendency to kick you in the face like that every so often (does me anyway)

Shame, that If you were closer, I'd have snapped it up too! Bit of a risk driving it back to sunny Derbyshire with no MOT/Tax (and nowhere to put it really...) tho! lol Good luck with the sale

LOVE the Ebay sales pitch, made me chuckle quite a bit. IT SMELLS A BIT LIKE YOUR GRANDDAD One project at a time for me, however - and I don't think my insurance would enjoy the idea of me driving round in a 5 litre Benz.. maybe in 3 years
