....so, I thought I should start a thread for my SEL instead of clogging up the main room. It's been delivered to my companies warehouse so this weekend I can crack on and try and bring the old girl back to life. The list for Saturday includes... *Clean it *Fix bonnet catches as they are sticking *Remove alarm *Get it to run *Go from there The goal, gulp, is to have it on the road for Wheels day....but we'll see. I'll update this over the weekend. Until then, have some pictures....      More to follow... |

Reality bites!  ;D I got a green car once, they do clean, and weld!  Sure the old bus will be stronger than skinny 80's Toymota tin... |

Get the headlight wipers working and just get the wiper sweep in the headlights. UBERCOOL.

I agree it looks great as it is, especially if you do like Adam says and get the wipers to sweep the headlights, that would be nothing short of performance art when on the road! But I don't know if I could resist getting out the cleaning products and seeing how well that paint would shine up....... Either way, reviving the old beast is the first job I guess! Good luck with it |

That would indeed look awesome sorted but with the paintwork untouched!! Although, if it was mine I would definately clean it, looks like it'll come up brilliantly! Good buy dude

make up a stencil for the doors, summat like "Hanks valeting service"and clean the paintwork using the stencil.

Get the grinder out, let the wipers sweep the screen and lights, leave all the other glass as is and roll deep on dished, flat-faced Lorinsers.
