...it´s not that good mate, keeps me out of mischief though!!! Ace, whens it gonna be on the road? Question: will the axle and other associated gubbins be be happy to take the vastly increased torque? Those cossy lumps are wonderful The rear axle hasn´t got a cat in hells chance of standing up to 200+ BHP. I´ll be making up my own, out of a mix of bus and old car axles to get me by...but ideally I would like to fit the Cossy axle (LSD next winter.... The same goes basically for the front suspension too..will have to take it easy this summer and try and modify the Scorpio front suspebnsion to fit....but as i´m running out of time and want to drive it this summer i´ll be doing that next winter as well... Hopefully have it up and running the week before Classic Ford at the Pod... good work man.... I assume, there are no more carports left in the Osnabrück area ? Why Jürgen, do you fancy moving up north where all the action is? ;D Wow looking good Fella ;)Some real nice welds your getting there What output is your welder? Cheers Mowzer, theoretically its 175A running on three phase 380 V but the welder is on it´s last legs and running on full blast to get anywhere near a half decent weld on these girders. It´s alright on car plating though.... Will treat myself to a new one before I start the Capri......next year! ;D

Was making up some engine mounts for the van when this disc let go...i was lucky as it did a double somersault off the workbench and flew past my right ear........wasn´t even grinding with it ..only cutting....honest!!! ....unfortunately the van wasn´t so lucky as it was directly behind me.... looks like i´m going to have to give the whole left hand side a respray at least it was the side with the dent in it from a supermarket trolley. Anyway got the mounts finished today. The left one in place and finished... took the right hand one back out and gussetted it too... checked all the alignment and was 3mm off at the back of the gearbox so adjusted all that up and can now safely say that´s all sorted..... Next job up is to get the van back on its own four feet and see if i have to modify the sump and/or refit one of the front leafs......

You have really been burning rubber Dave, I had an easy day with visitors most of the day, and the shed almost complete. Thanks to my mate Maverick, who came to be the second set of hands on the build, as well as Kerry (Disasterbus) who was very complimentary, and handy around the shed. Just need to hang the doors when I have daylight and time simultaneously.
Glad you did not get smacked by that errant disc section. I always worry about that with my bench grinders as well.
Great progress mate.

Unlucky about the disk. I'd rather fix a bit of paint than take a broken disk in the face though.
The reason I asked about the suspension is because a Mk3/4/5 Cortina setup would be much easier to fit than the mac strut setup. You'd just need to modify the chassis to fit the Cortina crossmember as everything is mounted off that, whereas with the mac struts you'd need to built the extra strut tops etc. The Cortina setup is also dead easy to narrow if needed.

looking good! really enjoying reading this!
have you put sleves into the holes in the chassis rails where the mounts bolt on to help prevent it ripping them out / elongating them??
