Well, lets welcome the styler...... 1986 mk2 golf C, 1.3 with a four on the floor. UGH. shimmys all over the place, smokes like jolly pain in the backside when you rag it.....and its only done 80K...... Since the pic was taken I have changed the toilet seat wheels for my fat steelies, removed the 4000, 890, 762 stickers in the back window and thrown away about 4 MILLION tonnes of rubbish out of it. I can now happily report that - the shimmey is gone, its as solid as a rock and has never been welded, has a new exhaust from end to end, and with some new fuel in it, honks like a good one ( MH engine code for you VW peeps...) more pics to follow ! ( OBVIOUSLY ) Revolting interior ..... steering wheel like plastecine.........UGH...again.

I'd roll it! Looks a decent car to me. I had a Mk2 1.3 Golf a few years ago. Just ran and ran... I used to do London to Nottingham runs in it with my foot to the floor! ;D

Just been for a rag around and can confirm it's actually a good car, tracks good , stops good, revs good etc etc... adjusted the clutch cable - so I can now actually get it into gear without having to get angry. been eyeing up 60mm lowering springs already !

They're DIFFICULT I grant you, just done my mate's two doors down ( who ALSO has a white two door mk2 ) - how much do I wish I' hung onto those clocks now ! The beast was very reasonably priced indeed.

Tell me more old chap ! Haha, well the improvements have started ! Early mk2 gti steering wheel...again, at my favourite price. and the small block under the hood.....ugh.....plenty of sorting out to be done here - including what looks like the mandatory oil leak from the left hand corner of the head - nice.
