So much eezier with the eezibleed. Unfortunately an initially firm pedal goes soft - With the slave being new and no obvious leaks anywhere I reckon the master is knackered which makes me even more pi$$ed off that Speedy Spares sent me a defective one I now have LNK waiting for an MOT, Madge waiting for a working clutch and my 'modern' Toyota Previa out of MOT and needing new discs/pads all round before it gets another one. Thank God for the company car!

Speedy Spares have redeemed themselves! I rang them earlier and explained the problem and they're putting a new master in the post today . They sent the last one by courier so hopefully it'll be here in a day or two!

Hope the clutch gets sorted. Cheers mate! Did you sort the wheel nuts? Sort of, I've measured the stud holes and they appear to be 3/4" rather than the 5/8" which the nuts I got were. So, I've ordered a set of 3/4" sleeved nuts with 7/16" thread which should do the job. I'll probably keep the 5/8" ones though in case I need them for one of the Imps or if I change Madge's rims.

bad luck witth the clutch mate - I had the same with the pop's clutch, I started to get a weird vibration occasionally through the clutch pedal, then lost the clutch completely logic stated that as I had replaced the master barely 3 months previously with a remote jobbie, it would be the slave, so I stripped it out, re-sealedit, no clutch, replaced the horribly curse word clutch pipe, still no clutch, took the boot off the master, and it was full of fluid! damned poor quality non genuine land rover parts!! - worst of it all was the brand new willwood one from rally design was the same price as the landy one I fitted in the first place! glad you're getting it sorted though! - kev

Got a set of wheel nuts for the Ford RS alloys and some locking nuts too. Just need to get the tyres from Brian removed from those Ford steels and put onto the alloys, balanced then bolted onto Madge's hubs. Then I'll get an idea of how much to lower her and whether she'll need spacers.

Took Madge on a blast down to Poole on Friday afternoon then back to London Friday night. She was running well but losing a lot of oil from around the cam cover. Took my boy up to Silverstone on Saturday where she dribbled a lot of oil over the paddock Upon examination I discovered two of the four retaining screws were missing from the cam cover, one of the remaining two had come out and got wedged! These were refitted and tightened and ultimately replaced with a set of four allen headed cap screws and spring washers. She is continent again! Not sure if they vibrated loose or were just not done up properly by whoever last had the cam cover off. Also fitted a new alternator bracket as the original had cracked - probably caused the fan belt failure on my way to Wales. The new one is made from an Imp silencer bracket and is twice the thickness of the original. Should last forever. Wheels/tyres/suspension next methinks...............

Fitted Madge's new wheels and tyres today, drove around a bit to settle the suspension but the front needs to come down an inch or two, the rear looks fine though. Seems to handle and generally run better too. Also, pending a proper paint job, I'm thinking matt/satin black bonnet.........

Cheers Guys! The rears rub slightly on the inside of the wheelarch when the suspension bottoms out so I will have to look at stiffening up the suspension a bit, I have a plan!
The front will be lowered as soon as I can get around to it.

^^^^ what he said - looks spanking on the rims. Don't think you need to change anything at present - I like it's pseudo gasser look! ;D Holbay mental lump FTW EDIT - does the Holbay slot straight in? I know the Alpines and Hunters were garnished - I'm naively assuming the Singer was badge engineering at it's finest.

w00p w00p! Good work Baz. Looking hawt with the rims on. Could you just the arches rolled on the back save messing with springs etc? Or, you could have a word with Pat and get him to give it the "treatment"

veeery nice - 185 70's per chance? I've found the ideal way to determine the correct amount to drop a hunter etc - get 3 fatties to sit on the bonnet while waiting outside a gig! Just got to cut my coils, and we'll be sorted at our end keep us updated! - kev

Looking good, black bonnet will finish it off well. And I third the good word for Speedy Spares never had any problems and bits are always well priced. Holbay is the same engine just different cam, inlet and carbs so is the easiest upgrade in the world, if you can find an engine that is. And a word of warning, be careful how many coils you take off, I went a bit far on my SuperMinx! (does look cool though!)
