This is my Dad's new-to-him 1974 MGB.
It counts as a readers ride as I'll inevitably be lying under it, bashing my knuckles on some thing. ;D
Dunno the exact colour, but it's pretty nice and Dad's a big fan of green cars.
Rostyles have been powdercoatedd at some stage, and yes, those are trim-rings and whitewalls -- done by the previous owners!
(Ok, as you all will inevitably ask about the ute across the street, it's a Ford AU-series Falcon ute that's been converted to twin rear axle, probably so it can take >1500kgs on the tray. Standard AU utes came with the chassis-back anyway which you could either get with a styleside tray or an aluminium tray like that one. Stock they have a 4.0L six with about 200hp. They also came with a 5.0 V8. You can now get them in the updated BA/BF spec with an about 250hp atmo 6, 300hp turbo 6 and a 305hp 4.6L V8.)
Surprisingly, I don't hate the accessorising. It's also got mesh headlight protectors, sheepskins seatcovers and a re-trimmed interior. It's been resto'd at some stage and before he bought it, to pass roadworthy (think MOT, sort of) it had all the rust in the sills cut out.
Engine-wise it's stock, except for a screw-on oil filter and a bigger coil. (Oh noes! There goes the Concourse Trophy!)
Dad's plan is to drive and enjoy.
The photos are from this morning. He wouldn't let me take it over 3k rpm!
