Wow it's been a while since I've been back here and updated this... Mainly because it still isn't on the road but after the bank holiday weekend I successfully got it started and driving yesterday with a nice spanking new head on it.
Seems to be ok so far but now I just have to tax, mot and insure it all at once so I need to wait for my next pay day.
On the upside it was amazing to drive it again after driving around a mk2 Golf for the last few months.
So yeah hopefully I can update properly with some new pics when I get it on the road. I now have no carpets or interior with only my dash thats really left in one piece now!
Everything else is held on with gaffa tape...

Nice one on getting it rolling again, make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb before booking the MOT, then it can't throw up any expensive surprises to stop it hitting the tarmac again.

Its only done 600 miles since the last MOT anyway.... God that's depressing!

Just thought I would do a quick update again as the car is now MOT'd with only two advisories on the brakes (where they were sat on the handbrake) and taxed. I did my first proper journey further than around the block yesterday and it was amazing. Running a bit rubbish but i'm off to sort out the timing and mixture tomorrow and hopefully sort out the auto choke that doesn't seem to be working. I forgot how loud it is. It is awesome! I'll try and get some more pics asap

So yeah I lowered it a bit That is pretty much as low as I can get the front without smaller tyres or raising the engine! It's all working now (albeit with a dodgy choke) and i've put plenty of miles on it in two weeks! I just love it. ;D Sorry for the rubbish phone pics

I haven't touched any wet roads yet but so far it hasn't been that bad, doesn't really feel much different than before!

cheers guys! Gutted your capri was no good Stu84, but keep looking there are good ones out there! So anyway I got some awesome wheels from Warnzee and fitted a couple of them on yesterday, I think you might like it... Going to roll the arches tonight so the wheels can actually move but the 205/60's on an 8 have lifted the car back up too much so come next months pay day I will have to get some 185/55's on there instead.

a couple of my lights have always been fogged up a bit and it was annoying so I thought I'd give that flyeyes stuff a go to hide it a bit... Probably not to everyones taste but man it looks moody at the front now! (I always wanted the black light shields u can get so this is a pretty ace and cheap alternative!) I've also done quite a few other bits but u will have to wait for pics of that...

Looking great there Dude.
Can't wait to see more pics of the wheels and the new look front lights are great. I 'fly eyed' my Delica a month or so ago and love the way it looked and also how easy it was to fit...and the price. Just done the Rascal and Fugitive too. The best bit, if you get bored you just peel it off ;D
Now make with the pictures, I want to see the other mods.

The flyeyes stuff was excellent! I reccomend it to everybody, simple to go on and such a bargain. I used barely any of the roll I got because my lights are so small! FYI that is the darkest black they do for anyone trying to decide what colour/shade to get. I was tempted to do my rear lights as well but the rear of my car is red so would probably be a lot better tinted all red than black... any thoughts? You will have to wait for pics because i'm still waiting to get my new tyres fitted because I still only have two of the 4 wheels on but come saturday it should all be good. Have some pictures from a little meet I went to in Paignton on sunday though cool line up... I wish this picture was better quality but it was off someones phone My car looks slightly different to the other capri... I love how my car has some kind of ghetto flip paint and always looks a different colour in pictures! haha ;D
