Thanks bud, the guy called me earlier - nice lad and very helpful. Should be getting word from him tomoro about it and he's throwing in a K&N filter with it as well........have to sort the rest of the speakers (originals are Nokias - what?!?!?!) as i lost the light this evening - should sound pretty key when its done. Its coming together slowly.
Are the indicators from that guy on the rocco register? I PM'd him but got no reply as yet

May rip that idea off me thinks Going back to the clear indicators, think the guy spends alot of time in Poland so don't be too dishartened buddy. As I say Ill let you know if I get anywhere with them. Did you get that weber in the end dude?

Well, i got the guy for the weber - seems like a nice lad. Sent him off a bit of money so when that clears he's to send me the bits............and that's when the fun begins i suppose! Fair play to him though, he's sending me installation instructions and loads of bits as well as just the carb - hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the hoop!! As for the stereo - "install" doesn't mean a fibreglassed, painted, shiney enclosure and spinning flashing things - its a sub and amb in the boot and some speakers in parcel shelf and original front mounts - I'm not gonna be entering any competitions with it!!

93!?! Must be a late registered one, since the Corrado replaced the Scirroco in 1991. In case nobody's covered this yet, they carried on selling 'Roccos loooooooooooong after they'd started selling Corrados in the UK. As an aside, our local dealer still had an unregistered Mk2 Golf in the mid-nineties. It ended up leaving the pitch on an L plate

To be honest, i've only been pricking around over the last few days.....got the rear lights sealed up so i've been waiting to see if that solves my leak. Had two locking wheel nuts on one side of the car and no key for same so a healthy dose of hammering and battering, sledge hammers and metal bars seen the end of those and now i can get on with changing the brakes for the MOT Dunno if you can make it out in the photo but the paint on the bonnet is past the point of rescue and i'll have to get it resprayed. I got the roof T-cut back to shiney smooth looking paint but i've been toying with the idea of getting it sprayed black. I've a bit of a plan for the front end too but it wont be happening til after the MOT comes through.....anyone know where i can get some of that nice honeycomb mesh for a grille - the nice black stuff found on the new Golf GTi or the Seat Altea?

Failed on rear brakes - handbreak was 100% but when he tested the rears with the footbrake there was nothing registering at all. It passed the overall braking efficiency but i must have seized rear cylinders or something. I decided not to change over the brakes to the new discs/pads/shoes/hoses as they wouldn't have seated before doing the test and i suppose i would have founs the problem had i dismatled the brakes but, alas, something to fix and go for it again.
If i don't get the test this week i'll be driving the GT6 to the RR show though...............

It ended up leaving the pitch on an L plate Two streets away from me there's an L reg 'Rocco, really nice condition too. I fin it odd that they all started out on carbs, then ran both carb and injection models side-by-side, then ditched Injection and went back to carb -

I have a set of clear front indicator lenses at the house to be put on it and a few other modifications are also on the way but none will be done in time for the RR show. I really want to get the car lowered asap as it just looks stupid floundering about in the sky!!
Benouzzz, i love your car and i love the wide steel wheels you have on it. I think a set of similar wheels in black with a chrome trim ring on them would be perfect on my Scirocco!!
